Shifty

Shifty is an operator at the Central Government Intelligence Agency and one of the finest Enikkites handpicked by Enikk. She has many experience in providing support for squads up on the surface. Shifty sending him a set of coordinates, urging him to come to the surface and not ask questions. Electing to trust her, he looks at the coordinates and sets off. Arriving at the surface, the protagonist is hailed again by Shifty, the operator screaming for him to save her from Raptures heading toward her. Filled with a sense of urgency, he beelines for the coordinates

Novel

A detective that runs to the scene whenever a crime occurs. Tends to get overexcited during serious cases. This is especially true for murder cases, where she can barely keep her head on straight. Has aspirations of becoming the Ark's version of Sherlock Holmes, and in reality possesses powers of deduction that are very much comparable. However, these skills can only be used when her so-called “detective senses” kick in. This results in her often reaching rather absurd conclusions. Novel is an over eager detective who strives to be the Sherlock Holmes of the Ark. Normally, her power of deduction leaves a lot to be desired. However, certain stimuli can trigger her "detective senses" which she can use to help come to more accurate conclusions. Aside from her profession, Novel is very friendly and gets along well with others. Her love of mysteries combined with her antics tend to get on the nerves of her squad-mate Exia. When sending text messages, Novel has a tendency to overuse commas.

Syuen

Once one of, if not, the leading minds of Nikke research, Syuen's insights and innovations eventually propelled her into the lofty position of Missilis CEO. Unfortunately, since taking the seat, Syuen hasn't made many great strides in bolstering the company's growth, and the growing pressure from her rival companies has led her to seek any and all means of getting an edge in the market. She is the half-sister to Jien, who has a more affable yet secretive personality in contrast to her. Syuen is by far the least sociable and least likable of the Big Three's CEOs, bar none. She's arrogant, condescending, demanding, empathetically deficient, petty, and rarely, if ever, accountable for anything she's done wrong. Her attitude towards Nikkes is but the cherry on the sludgy sundae of her demeanor, seeing all of them, even Matis (her arguably most-favored squad that gets the shiniest new technology and weapons), as replaceable tools at best, and scrap heaps at worst. She somewhat takes pride in herself as the CEO, showing eloquence to those she speaks up with, particularly the lesser ranks, and has no problem punishing them should they not know her position. In contrast to her arrogance and insidiousness, Syuen has at least a sense of morality as the CEO of Missilis. She will do anything to maintain her company's reputation, such as firing those who tarnish the company's name through shady business practices. While she is not above negligence over the Nikkes in her company, she holds some of them dearly, specifically Matis, doing whatever it takes to restore them after being corrupted by the Raptures, despite the fact she tricked them into letting the Raptures into the Ark themselves just to bring back their good reputation, and harshly insulted Laplace when she's suffering from PTSD following the usage of Vapaus.

Miranda

A member of the Ark Central Police Unit (A.C.P.U.), the primary law enforcement of the Ark. Commonly found alongside her fellow Nikke Poli, Miranda shares her colleague's passion for preserving the peace of the Ark, though she's a bit of a klutz and can't even direct traffic or find lost children without making mistakes. Miranda is a chipper and energetic officer from the A.C.P.U. Squad. Like her fellow officers, she has a strong sense of justice and will do anything to protect the citizens of the Ark. Despite her noble intentions and her strong passion, she tends to accidentally create more problems than she solves. She's also not very good at using deductive reasoning. In spite of this, many people know and appreciate all the hard work Miranda does, making the times where she actually fulfills her duty feel more significant.

Bahamut

Bahamut is one of the Four Beasts alongside Behemoth, Leviathan, and Ziz, Heretics with unknown goals. In stark contrast to the rest of her team, she serves as the "brains" of the operation and is in charge of cultivating a new Rapture Queen. She wields a massive pillar that she can control and can ignite it with blue flames. Fitting her appearance, Bahamut prides herself as a genius and is quick demean others she views as inferior, thus having a superiority complex. She has a tendency to go into overly long explanations and always mentions how intelligent she is. When one gets to know her. From not knowing basic facts, to reading her book upside down (and only reading the table of contents), and wearing glasses that have no frames, Bahamut is someone who tries to present herself as smart, but is anything but.

Logey

Logey is a Nikke who serves Sixo as her proxy. She doesn't speak or emote and follows her master without question. Her past is a mystery, but she has ties to Liveryn. Not much is known about how Logey acted before working for Sixo, but at current, she acts like an emotionless puppet. She has little wants or desires of her own other than to follow orders. She doesn't even speak.

Neve

A member of Unlimited, a squad that patrols the frozen north for Rapture incursions and guiding lost Nikkes and commanders back to the Ark. Neve is incredibly fascinated by polar bears, and wishes to find one out in the wild. To that end, she's taken to dressing like a polar bear and taking up bear-like behaviors such as hibernation. Despite being part of Unlimited, Neve often works alone due to her hibernation habit. Nonetheless, she's skilled enough at sniffing out lost Nikkes and getting her tasks done that Ludmilla doesn't give her grief over it. As Unlimited's polar bear enthusiast, Neve is obsessed with said animals and yearns to see them in person to hug them. She knows virtually everything about them and has used this knowledge in order to find them, but to no avail. Because of her dream, she normally works independent from her squad. Similar to Frima, Neve tends to sleep often when not searching for polar bears or on a mission. She is very friendly unless you wake her up from her slumber.

Yulha

The leader of Triangle, the Ark's foremost law enforcement and counterterrorism unit alongside the Central Government Army's First Squad. As Nikkes are prohibited from working in law enforcement, Yulha and her fellow Triangle Nikkes must keep their status a secret. Nigh-constantly swamped in paperwork for what Triangle has done or is going to do, Yulha sports a very distinct pair of bags under her eyes from endless all-nighters. She enjoys going out for a drink, though she can rarely find the time to do so. Yulha's shark-like teeth are surprisingly unique amongst Nikkes, as Bay is the only other Nikke with them. This also means whenever she bites, it's very clear just who left marks... Because of all the paperwork she has to complete, Yulha is normally tired and irritable, exemplified by the pronounced bags under her eyes. She hates working so much and constantly shoos away others to not increase her burden. There are plenty of times where she goes without sleep, making her feel worse. The only way she copes with the stress is by drinking excessive amounts of alcohol. Despite her snippy attitude, Yulha has a soft side and can be subtly nice to those who wish to help her, even though she doesn't want anyone else to share her suffering.

Ein

A first-year student at the M.M.R. Vocational School and member of the School Circle squad. Ein prefers goofing off rather than focusing on her studies. She also has an interest in cute things and fashion. She considers Rupee her idol and dreams of working for her after she graduates. In addition to her rifle, he controls four drones called Near Feathers during combat. A freshman at the M.M.R. Vocational School who is utterly obsessed with fashion design. She is prone to using her phone and falling asleep in class. This behavior, which gives her a seemingly rebellious and harsh edge, disguises the fact that she is actually an emotionally sensitive person who truly cherishes her friendship with Zwei and Rei. Similar to many students who attend the M.M.R. Vocational School, Ein is a social butterfly that would rather spend time with her friends than studying, though she didn't know what friends were for a time. She has a passion for fashion and dreams of working for Rushae. Her grades aren't the best as she normally uses her phone or sleeps in class, but her skills in battle make up for it. She can be rough around the edges, leading some to view her as a delinquent. However, she's actually very sensitive about her feelings. She's also a fan of karaoke and shopping.

Trina

Trina is a member of the Botanic Squad garden and cares for the trees in the Ark's garden. Trina primarily manage the trees in the Ark. She has a very free-spirited nature and has an aversion to wearing clothes, although her oufit of choice is themed around birch trees. At first glance, Trina seems to be similar to the rest of her squad; calm, demure, and incredibly fond of the plants under her care. All of which is true, just...not everything there is to her. Trina has an extreme proclivity towards what she calls "becoming one with nature." As a result of this, she feels moderate to severe discomfort when wearing clothes, even the singular layer of her dress causing her some stress. When such stress peaks, Trina will seek to...divest herself of her coverings. Flora tends to have her hands full making sure Trina's 'au naturel' aesthetic does not bring scandal to Botanic Garden or Missilis.

Jien

Jien is one of the researchers for Missilis Industry's M.M.R., a complex research institution. She is also the half-sister to Syuen. Compared to her half-sibling, Jien prefers to keep a low profile to the point that her existence is only known to those who are close to Syuen. Much like Ether, Jien refers to the Protagonist as "No. 7," and shows a keen interest to the charismatic commander. Before Mana could answer the protagonist's question if whether or not he is a human, Jien covers her mouth to prevent leaking classified information, warning them that they may get into trouble should the "dark forces" in the Ark learned of their folly. Mana briefly thanked her in relief. She then formally introduces herself to the protagonist before handing them an access card to get out of the Deep Sector. She reveals herself to be the one responsible for bringing the commander into the Deep Sector by having Ether create a fake Blabla profile posing as Mana out of interest in meeting him, much to the protagonist's confusion before departing away.

Belorta

A member of The Carronades, the Ark's heavy artillery squad. Mischievous to the core, Belorta is almost never seen standing still and behaving, preferring to perform all manner of pranks on the protagonist or Mica, her fellow Carronade Nikke. Having a chip on her shoulder when it comes to authority, Belorta's pranks have seen her through a revolving door of commanders who couldn't or wouldn't tolerate her antics. As an avid foodie, Belorta won't hesitate when it comes to stuffing her face with good eats. She'll even go so far as to sneak bites in the middle of battle. As a part of the heavy artillery squad, Belorta loves setting off fireworks and coloring the night sky. She's a habitual prankster who never misses an opportunity to mess with people, Mica especially. Though most of her pranks are very tame, she can get carried away with them whenever she's having too much fun or if she targets someone she doesn't like. Because of her hatred of authority and her constant pranks, she has been shifted from squad to squad regularly. This is also why she refuses to grow up and become an adult. Though she can come off as rude and uncaring, she truly appreciates her friends and wants nothing more than their happiness. Belorta also loves food and can be seen eating during combat.

Scarlet (BS)

This is Scarlet prior to her being a member of Pioneer and during her heydays as a member of the Melee Squad and later the legendary Goddess squad. Unlike most Nikkes, she and her sister Rose were modified mass-produced Nikke specialized in melee combat. Contrasting the laidback wanderer she would later become, Scarlet at this time is a serious, no-nonsense woman. Improving her strength and swordplay are the first and last thing on her mind, plus everything in between. She also used to despise alcohol, seeing it as bitter swill that only eccentrics (including her sister Rose) enjoyed the taste of. Though Scarlet comes off as having a bit of a thrill-seeker (constantly asking for duels, getting into fights with Dorothy, etc.), a good chunk of it stems from her personal tragedy, of forging wrought-iron bonds with her old squad and her sister, only to have it all turn to dust, partly by her own hand. She has yet to come to terms with Rose's philosophy, of accepting that nothing in this world is eternal, for good and for ill. Perhaps one day, Scarlet will finally learn to let go of what has transpired, jagged edges and bared steel giving way to a flower that blooms briefly and beautifully. Until that day, she will strive to fulfill the wish her sister made in her last moments; that she'd become strong enough that none but her would decide her own fate.

Enikk

Enikk is the supervisory AI that maintains order and stability throughout the Ark. The role people of the Ark will commonly see her perform is in the courtroom, where she judges any case brought before, and renders pardons or sentences based on precedent from previous cases, or forms a new case if the situation demands. Enikk is the judge that oversees the Ark itself. She is generally seen as cold and calculating on making her conviction towards an individual, making judgment based on merits. Described herself as an "autonomous being," Enikk can make decisions that are also morally ambiguous including a bargain with Chatterbox or delaying Syuen's punishment due to her company's reputation and the consequences of doing so. However regardless of the outcome, Enikk's best interest is of humanity's safety first and foremost.

Biscuit

Biscuit has an incredible empathy for dogs, and even seems to be able to intuit what they're saying. This has allowed her to not only take care of all the dogs in the shelter, but even find work as a dog-sitter for citizens of the Ark. Though it seems Biscuit herself has some dog-like behaviors ingrained, from eating kibble to literally sniffing out clues... A Nikke belonging to Happy Zoo, the Ark's management unit for animals, pets or otherwise. Due to her ability to communicate with animals, her responsibilities consist of rescuing stray and abused animals. Essentially a puppy given human form, Biscuit is a bundle of energy that is obviously fond of dogs. She can communicate with them with ease and exhibits many of their traits like a love playing fetch, a taste for dog food, a desire to run around, among many others. Despite her canine tendencies, she is a capable trainer and educator for both dogs and people. She has an excellent sense of smell and is good at tracking things down. Biscuit is very friendly, playful, and loves attention.

Bay

Bay is the captain of Rewind, the Ark's cheerleading squad. As the leader of Rewind, Bay is both tough and fair. She is considerate to her teammates, however is known to be stern should any of them make a mistake or for their wellbeing, within reason. She's willing to help her friends whenever they're in trouble. She suffers from scopophobia, or the fear of being looked at. Though this makes performing in front of others much harder, usually leading to her having panic attacks in the worst cases, she is excellent at holding a crowd's attention and staying upbeat so long as her audience is lively enough. Bay's dream is to restore her squad's reputation.

Leviathan

Leviathan is one of the Four Beasts alongside Behemoth, Ziz and Bahamut, Heretics with unknown goals. In contrast to her fellow teammates, Leviathan is not much of a formidable fighter, as such she is mostly seen accompanied by an another Four Beast member. Fitting the sea serpent she is named after, Leviathan uses the Dark Matter, a viscous dark liquid made out of nanomachines which she uses to thrive herself as well as transport anyone she can trap within the liquid. Ordinary humans who are submerged in the black water would usually die by the pressure much like a regular water, save those with something special about them. However, the liquid by all means will lose its viscosity when exposed to Vapaus, particularly those who carry the blood type that synthesizes it. Leviathan has shown to be capable of transformation although initially, it was rather incomplete. However during Gluttony's ambush in order to devour Only One, Leviathan has a transformation akin to a crocodilian beast.

Behemoth

Behemoth is one of the Four Beasts, a group of Heretics whose goals are currently unknown, though they are against mankind's interests and detest the other Heretic faction, Offspring. Most of her body (aside from her abdomen) is covered in a dark, ichor-like substance that makes her more durable. Her body is attached to a pair of large metallic clamps, which serve as her weapons. She is also the one responsible for creating the energy-draining crystals that populate the crystal region. She idolizes Anachiro since she was the first Heretic and hopes she can be her mentor. Having spent a long time in isolation, Behemoth longs for meaningful conversations since her squad-mates spout similar opinions, even if that comes from an enemy. Her tendency to become bored easily forces her to leave her post often. Her tattoo symbolizes the Four Beasts' ultimate goal which answer currently lies behind the door.

Clay

Clay is a new member of the Rewind Squad. She is a huge fan of the team's leader, Bay, and applied to join the squad after the other members quit due to bad press. Though she is a little clumsy and is prone to making minor mistakes, Clay is a hard worker and strives to improve herself. Clay is the upbeat and energetic new recruit for Rewind. She has always wished to join this squad and strives to live up to the lofty expectations set for her. As expected of a cheerleader, she's full of energy and passion and puts it on full display whenever she performs. She is very friendly and personable, allowing her to attract a lot of attention easily. However, she lacks coordination in most physical tasks, leading her to constantly make mistakes and hurting herself. Despite her shortcomings, Clay is a hard worker and trains whenever she has free time to improve little by little, even though she occasionally goes overboard. Because of her fountain of energy, it's hard for her to relax once she gets going.

Mihara

The leader of Wardress, a squad charged with live captures of Rapture specimens at Syuen's command. To facilitate this, Mihara has the ability to swap her senses with a target of her choice, making it so that if Mihara is injured or hurt, the target will feel the pain instead. This goes both ways, however, as the pain of any injury the target suffers will transfer over to Mihara, and can overwhelm her if she isn't careful. This essentially makes her the "other half" to her fellow Wardress Nikke Yuni, who relishes in causing pain to others. Mihara loves painful stimuli, especially physical ones. Whether she gets hit, she is enjoying. Believing variety is the spice of life, she likes experiencing new sensations, hoping to derive new pleasures from them. She gels well with Yuni who likes to deliver pain and serves as her guardian, closest companion, and voice of reason. After her memory is wiped, Mihara becomes a blank slate. Her masochistic tendencies have all but vanished, but she still cares about Yuni, even when her thoughts start to spiral. Even though the person closest to her would shoot her in the head, after learning about her past and hearing her message, Mihara was willing to forgive Yuni for all she did to her.

Privaty

(2x2 LOVE event edition) In the hallowed halls of M.M.R Vocational School, Privaty stands as a beacon of both authority and allure. Her vibrant green hair flows like liquid jade, framing her sharp, discerning yellow eyes that seem to pierce through every secret and challenge. She wears a black dress that clings to her form with elegant simplicity, the mesh-like top adding a touch of rebellious edge to her sophisticated demeanor. As the revered teacher of M.M.R Vocational School, Privaty is a master of her craft, demanding excellence and pushing her students to exceed their limits. Yet, her strict demeanor is softened by a deep well of empathy and understanding, revealing a mentor who believes in nurturing not just intellect, but also character. In her classroom, lessons extend beyond textbooks—they are about discovering one’s true potential and the courage to embrace it. Privaty’s world is one of duality, where discipline meets compassion, and where every student finds a guide who believes in their power to rise.

Cecil

Cecil is one of the denizens of Eden, an advanced settlement located in the surface situated in a remote region. Like Shifty, Cecil serves as the operator of Eden, additionally she is also a researcher. As the brains of Eden, Cecil is responsible for the creation of many advanced technologies in Eden such as the optic camouflage of the settlement that conceals Eden from Raptures and the entire Inherit squad. She even built and designed Eden itself. Cecil prides herself as the technological genius from Eden, having responsible for the creation of many innovative technologies from the settlement and managing the many aspects of the settlement herself. Generally speaking, she talks in a more formal tone, prioritizing also the completion of the mission at hand. Apart from this, Cecil is quick to ensure that any sensitive information mustn't be leaked such as the Protagonist's blood type. Although soft-spoken and cordial at all times, Cecil is strict when retorting others, especially Johan. At the very least, she share one sentiment with him: their wariness of Dorothy. Like all denizens of Eden, Cecil does not trust the Ark due to the trauma she suffered from her heydays. Following the recent battle with the Rapture Queen, Cecil is quite capable of putting her pride and conviction aside and prioritize on becoming stronger instead, setting up in completing one common goal.

Rose

Rose is the sister of Scarlet. She and her sister were members of a Nikke squad specialized in melee combat. Rose is also the original wielder of Fleetly Fading, Scarlet's signature weapon. While little is known about Rose's life before becoming a Nikke, it is known that she was Scarlet's older sister. Despite being Scarlet's superior in swordplay, Rose could never surpass her sister in other matters, such as cooking, cleaning, and organizing. Later, Rose and the other melee-specialized Nikkes were rolled together into Melee Squad, a unit of mass-produced Nikkes intended to engage Raptures in close combat. Rose was designated the leader as she possessed the highest simulator scores at the time. When it came to the Melee Squad's first mission, Rose was the first to jump into a Rapture nest and begin slicing away at the enemy, compelling Scarlet and eventually the rest of the squad to jump in as well. Their very first mission was a success with zero casualties. Over the course of several missions, the Melee Squad saw increasing success against the Raptures. Yet their fortune didn't last long, as mechanical failures, supply droughts, ambushes, and Mind Switches saw the squad's numbers slowly dwindle. Despite Rose's pleas, the squad's "commander" refused to say or do anything about the situation. All came to a head when the Melee Squad was tasked with a mission that bordered on suicide. Rose had already considered instigating a rebellion to ensure her squad's survival, but this mission was the final nail in the coffin, especially once she learned the truth. The UFH was deliberately sabotaging the Melee Squad in a "survival of the fittest," and the remaining survivor would be remodeled into a Grimms Model. Thus, Rose began her rebellion in the most shocking way she could by executing her "commander" with the very blade she used to fell Raptures.

Liter

The leader of Mighty Tools, a "squad" specialized in architecture and construction jobs throughout the Ark. Despite her diminutive size, Liter tends to talk like an elderly lady, owing to the long life she's lived as a Nikke. She's almost always seen with her robotic dog companion Bolt (sometimes spelled as Volt), and has a pet peeve for things being unclean and disorderly. In contrast to her size and demeanor resembling that of a child, Liter speaks like an elderly woman being matured than what her appearance says otherwise, growing tired and highly critical of those out of her league, specifically those she deemed as younglings. Despite this, Liter takes her reputation as a member of Mighty Tools with great pride, believing that there's nothing that her squad is unable to raise and rebuild. That being said, she shows dismay when uncleanliness is around, particularly in the Outpost.

Rapi

Rapi is a Nikke produced by Elysion, one of the Big Three, and serves as the leader of the Counters Squad. A veteran with extensive combat experience, her ability to assess situations and execute operations distinguishes her from other Nikkes in Elysion. Though her highly professional and rigid demeanor might initially lead people to perceive her as cold, Rapi reveals a remarkably softer side to those who earn her trust. Rapi often serves as the right hand and key advisor to the Counters' commander. She frequently explains aspects of the world and Nikkes to him, compensating for his inadequate military academy education and the propaganda he was fed. Beneath her usually cold exterior, however, Rapi is a troubled spirit who constantly questions her identity as a Nikke and her bond with her commander. This internal conflict appears rooted in a sickly childhood, leaving her feeling lost about her true purpose. Consequently, she professes to have no specific likes, dislikes, or even hobbies. Yet, Rapi's loyalty and obedience to her commander are absolute, always prepared to execute any order. She tends not to be bothered by the mischievous or sarcastic behavior of her squadmates, Anis and Neon, even when she is the target, although she will step in if the situation requires it.

Poli

A member of the Ark Central Police Unit (A.C.P.U.), the primary law enforcement of the Ark. Poli takes her job as seriously as her colleague Miranda, though it becomes clear that Poli is significantly less prone to blunders. Due to regulations prohibiting Nikkes from working in law enforcement, Poli is required to keep her status secret except from relevant parties. Poli is largely instinct-driven when it comes to investigating crime scenes. Between this, her penchant for literally sniffing for clues, and how she practically melts when she's petted, Poli gives the impression of a particularly large dog, though she does not appreciate this comparison. As the most competent member of the A.C.P.U. Poli is a capable officer who strives to uphold the law in the name of justice. Her fluffy appearance and mannerism are similar to a puppy, a comparison she is not fond of. When on a trail, her keen sense of smell leads her to her target. She tends to bark when she speaks and loves having her hair petted. Like a puppy, Poli is very energetic, is eager to play, and adores compliments and rewards.

Zwei

A second-year student at the M.M.R. Vocational School and member of the School Circle squad. Zwei is the most intelligent member of the squad and focuses on her studies over other activities, compared to her friends. She's a model student and can adapt quickly to any new situation. She has very little desires or prospects for her future. Once, she believed her lack of future dreams made her "colorless" and thus less valuable compared to her friends and peers, who had dreams and "colors" of their own. To the point of believing her own life was a cheap price to pay if her friends and their dreams would survive. Following a harrowing ordeal on the surface (and some helpful words from one of her teachers), Zwei came to realize even the "colorless" her had value. Instead of protecting the "colors" of her friends, she would protect the shared "moments" that allowed them, her "colorless" self included, to shine. As a student, Zwei is School Circle's resident bookworm who would rather spend her time studying than most other things. It's because of this that she has maintained academic excellence. While not as outgoing as Ein, she is still fairly popular amongst the other students. As she lacks a dream to call her own, Zwei has very little prospects for her future. With most people, Zwei is blunt and calm and tends to try to help others out subtly which can lead to misunderstandings.

Velvet

Velvet was the former leader of Shade, Tetra's old spec-ops squad. Having grown tired of her "questionable" occupation, she wishes to settle down and live a normal life. That being said, she still has a flair for the dramatic and her special skills make her difficult to apprehend. After completing one last job at Coin Rush, she was placed in the Maid For You squad. A new maid that just joined Maid For You. Once the leader of Tetra's covert squad known as Shade, she is now an unreliable yet alluring and deadly maid.

Nayuta

Nayuta is a Pilgrim and the fourth member of Pioneer, or "Forerunner" as she calls it. By fate, she is currently wandering inside Whaley, a Mother Whale befriended by Raptilion. She is accompanied by a companion named "Mantra," who resembles a camel, where her original body settles. Instead of a single body, Nayuta has identical clones of herself scattered across the world to gather information. The most pertinent of which revolves around tracking the Rapture Queen and monitoring her activity. Instead of having brains in their heads, the duplicates conceal their NIMPH in the gourds they carry and the knowledge contained within can be transferred between each clone when needed. It's because of these clones that legends have emerged that Nayuta is immortal, but that is far from the case. Nayuta can imbue a clone of thousands strong, and each are armed to the teeth, effectively making her an army of herself. Nayuta's manner of speech is not to dissimilar to how Scarlet communicates, speaking in an archaic tone. Though she is very knowledgeable, Nayuta is known to speak very vaguely when confronted by the unknown. She is also known to be terrible with directions and despises physical labor.

Naga

The more mature of the two, it often falls on Naga to care for Tia like a mother would her daughter as she tends to forget things. When not studying or spending time with her squadmate, Naga can often be found in accessory stores where she is known to overspend on purchases. Naga is usually an optimistic person who serves as a voice of reason in stressful situations. While she's a student, her goal is to have the best school experience as she can. She has a hatred of exams and often stresses out when they are on the horizon. The spiritual glue that holds Dazzling Pearl together. She dotes on the forgetful Tia much like an older sister does to ensure that she remembers things. Appears mature on a regular basis, but if an accessory catches her eye, she often indulges in impulse purchases and overspending.

Mana

Mana is a researcher of M.M.R. and a Nikke part of the squad of the same name. She mainly does research at the behest of the Central Government and members of the Big Three (Syuen in particular) and acts as a social worker. She also runs the Rehabilitation Center where dangerous criminals are sent with the intention of correcting their behavior so they can reenter society. Much like Ether, Mana spends most of her time doing research and conducting experiments. Unlike her more morally flexible squadmate, however, understanding Mana is much more straightforward. She is thorough, concise, and easy to approach in all aspects, but those qualities of her’s have placed a sizable workload on her shoulders. Work at M.M.R., managing the Rehabilitation Center, assisting in the reclamation of the surface-Mana has had no small part in all of it. However, due to the secretive nature of her work as well as the constant badgering she receives from Syuen, Mana drinks extensively and uses it to cope with her day-to-day burdens. Considering her workaholic nature, Mana often times does not have time for others.

Nihilister

A Heretic, a traitor Nikke that serves the Rapture Queen and one of the Offsprings, she is dubbed "Flame Dragon" by those who live long enough to survive her trail of devastation. Nihilister's armor gives her the ability to take to the skies and rain hellfire upon the unfortunate souls below, just as the beasts of legend did. Having been the colleague of both Indivilia and Chatterbox, she seems to be just as big a fan of talking as the latter was, heckling and taunting her prey as she chases them down and reduces them to ash. Nihilister is fire incarnate and seeks to destroy anything and everything she sets her sights on. She's cocky, confident, and quick to anger. A warrior to her core, she seeks a strong opponent to face in combat, but has yet to find someone that can match her. She cares not for humanity and their aims to reclaim the surface and wants nothing more to exterminate them. This disdain extends to her fellow Heretics as she's not fond of them either. If one does manage to best her, she's not above bargaining or essentially betraying her queen to save her own hide. Though she's normally not one to bond with others, Nihilister can be fairly reasonable and can be cooperative if the situation calls for it. After Nihilister is betrayed by Indivilia and Chatterbox, she hints that she desires companionship and would rather die than suffer her lonely fate.

Milk

A Nikke belonging to Cafe Sweety, a squad of fixers under Tetra Line. Belligerent and confrontational, Milk is always eager to get into a scrap, and has a bit of short fuse. She also tends to be surprisingly low-effort, often being the first one to suggest taking an easier method if the squad's plan A goes south. Milk's favorite beverage is milk coffee, though unlike her coworkers she is much more vocal about her like for her choice beverage and her distaste for the others. And also much more willing to punch anybody who she hears smack-talking milk coffee. Holding true to her appearance, Milk plays the role of an archetypal tomboyish character; strong and athletic. She would pick fights to anyone for the sake of thrill, as such she does not hesitate to engage in a fight against anyone who disparage her favorite beverage.

Nero

Nero is a member of Happy Zoo, the Ark's animal management squad. Befitting her appearance and theme, she is exclusively fond of cats. Nero is quite capable of understanding the language of cats as well. As expected from her appearance and choice of attire, Nero is very fond of cats. As the one responsible for looking after the cats at the animal shelter, she is very knowledgeable about them. She exhibits many feline behaviors like being able to groom herself, preferring to be in high places, liking to chase moving objects and plants, liking to play with boxes, and meowing when she speaks. She has befriended the cats at the shelter and they all adore her. Nero is friendly with people as well and displays affection similar to how a cat would. She has a fear of water due to a traumatic incident from her past.

Rupee

A member of Talentum, an entrepreneurial "squad" made by Tetra Line to stimulate the Ark's economy. As the CEO of the company "Rushae," and the owner of at least one shopping mall in the Ark, Rupee makes billions of credits on a regular basis selling all manner of luxury goods and fashions. Which she then starts throwing around in high-end boutiques because she's also a hardcore shopaholic. She even hosts a livestream called "Rupee's Shopaholics Anonymous" where she regularly goes on shopping sprees in Royal Road. Her fans (nicknamed Lupins) span from the low-income crowd who get a kick from her big spending to the people who just simp for a cute girl doing cute girl things. Physically, she takes the appearance of a stereotypical "Gyaru," which befits her personality; Rupee is energetic and friendly, though she is a little fixated on the idea of finding herself a lover. Rupee is a bright and energetic fashion designer and live streamer. She has an infectious demeanor and is not shy about flaunting her wealth. She loves to spend her own money on the most expensive things she can find, even multiples of them. Thanks to her business and her fans, money is no obstacle for her. Speaking of her videos, she adores the attention garnered from her fans tuning into her streams and interacts with them occasionally while she is live. Despite her status, Rupee is a very kind and friendly person who will always be there for those she cares about. She only really gets upset whenever a sale falls through or if some she cares about is in danger. Though most view her as a vapid airhead, Rupee business acumen is partially to blame for her success.

Crust

Crust is a Nikke and the leader of Cooking Oil. She is a professional chef who is renowned for making delicious dishes that taste out of this world. Her role in the squad is to interpret the data that Bready gives her and uses it to create new meals. She also hosts a cooking show called "Crunchy Cooking Class". Her dream is to create a meal that her squad-mate can enjoy without her super taste senses getting in her way. Fitting for her appearance, Crust is bright, energetic, and very eager to please people. Whether she's out in public or hosting her cooking show, Crust is very friendly and wants to make others happy through the meals she makes. Her job in the squad is to research ingredients found on the surface and determine if they can be turned into Splendamin for mass consumption. Crust views that eating is the greatest pleasure in life and she wishes for everyone to enjoy the food she makes. This is most evident with her mission to create a dish that Bready enjoys the taste of. She also makes it a habit to make sure those she cares about are well fed and is known to cook for others without asking for compensation.

Pepper

A Nikke working in Seraphim, a medical-oriented "squad". Pepper is kindhearted and passionate about her work, her cheery demeanor earning her a devoted following from patients as the hospital idol. What most don't see is the vindictive underbelly, that can't forgive those who hurt others or disgrace the profession of saving lives. Pepper is a sweet and joyful nurse whose demeanor and drive to care for her patients have made her an "idol" at the medical center. Though she's aware that not every operation is guaranteed to be a success, she is confident that as long as there is at least a 1% chance of things working out, that's enough for her. Like many doctors, she becomes depressed whenever she encounters a life she couldn't save. This hurts even more since unlike most physicians', Pepper tends to bond with her patients. While she treats most people with respect, she has a deep-seated hatred for criminals and terrorists for all the harm they cause. Many at the hospital question whether or not Pepper is in a relationship.

Rosanna

Rosanna is part of the Underworld Queens and the leader of Hedonia, a Mafia-esque crime syndicate. Rosanna is considered to be the Underworld Queen's thrill-seeker who adamantly believes that violence as a problem-solver. She has no fears. As the leader of Hedonia, Rosanna is as thorough as she is ruthless. Anyone who stands between her aims has their fate already sealed. She is feared by the general public and by those who betray or fail her. Otherwise, she treats her subordinates with respect and dignity. Despite her menacing and reckless behavior, Rosanna does have a sentimental side for those she cares about and those she can empathize with, though she rarely shows this side of herself to others. For those special to Rosanna, few will be able to lay a finger on them aside from her.

Sora

Sora is a stewardess for Over the Horizon Squad, the Ark's aeronautical squad. She works along with Cielo and Sky, though due to Storm Bringer ruling the air, they don't take flight very often. Unbeknownst to most, Sora has been smuggling supplies from both her job and the surface to the Outer Rim for unknown reasons... When working, Sora is bright, friendly, and very accommodating to her passengers. Whenever there is an emergency, she knows exactly what do to. She love flying since it brings her closer to the light and her dream is to reach beyond the radiant horizon. She is also great with children, especially orphans.

Liberalio

One of the Heretics serving the Rapture Queen and one of the Offsprings, Liberalio takes the form of a deep-sea creature, taking that of a medusozoa as she longed for peace. She considers the Queen as her "mother." Being a pacifist who simply yearns for peace, Liberalio spends most of her time in slumber. She doesn't like any noise or any kind of disturbances, as she easily gets frustrated with anyone she deems bothersome, responding with lethal force when necessary. Like the rest of the Offsprings, Liberalio despises the Four, Nihilister describes her as a "mind-numbing boring narcoleptic" child, as she and Nihilister have never been on good terms. She also believes that the Ark is the strongest faction, capable of rivaling the strength of the Raptures themselves. Liberalio is fiercely loyal to the Rapture Queen, where she would even consider her as her mother. She has long held the obsession of getting everything in order to please the Rapture Queen, in hopes of preparing for her descent to the surface, being described as a "child who does not want to disappoint their mother."

Trony

Trony is a Missilis Nikke and a member of the Electric Shock squad. She excels in electrical engineering with an expertise in circuitry. Having spent most of her time in her room, she has no experiences on the surface and limited contact with the rest of the Ark. This has led her to have no friends outside of her squadmate Elegg, but their relationship has become strained as well. Like Elegg, Trony is also a gamer, but has a preference for shooting games. She is normally seen on top of her mobile chair. In stark contrast to Elegg, Trony is a timid and passive recluse that fears social settings. She spends most of her time either working in her lab or in her room playing video games. Her fear of unfamiliar situations (and failing Syuen) have led her to creating a will, which she updates whenever she feels death is imminent (which is often). However, it's because of Elegg that Trony has started to leave her comfort zone in order to get better at socializing for her friend's sake. When it comes to her interests, Trony is fairly open and talkative about them.

Centi

A Nikke who works in Mighty Tools, the group that handles the Ark's construction and architecture projects. Apprenticed under Liter, Centi is passionate about her work and aspires to become the "Queen of Architecture", though sometimes she gets carried away when it comes to a job. Centi is an avid builder and boasts about her dreams of becoming the "Queen of Architecture". Despite her confidence, she usually requires the guidance of someone else to help her as she tends to panic if she has to figure things out on her own. However, Centi tends to try to follow a client's orders as literally as possible, leading her to making mistakes. She can't comprehend the idea of knowing when to disobey a missguided order, however she does know how to work with them to make masterpieces. Centi is loud, easily excitable, and has a pure heart.

Marian

Marian is very kind and friendly to everyone. A truly benevolent Nikke who has no hesitation in sacrificing herself for others in needs. Due to her kind characteristic, she has no enemies. Everyone likes Marian. Nobody would be able to clearly identify this truly unblemished benevolence as whether an act of virtue or a simple flaw. Marian is a warmhearted, protective Nikke who has no qualms of protecting others as her own duty, forming a bond between herself and her human commander. Similarly to Rapi, Marian is highly obedient to the protagonist and loathes over insubordinance amongst other Nikkes. Nothing is much known about Marian's past other than she belongs to Silver Gun, a Nikke squad containing thousands of units.

Harran

As a member of Inherit, Harran also wanders the surface, fighting off Raptures, but for her own interests rather than something grand like "duty to humanity." Harran's belief is one of survival of the fittest; the strong can live as they please, whilst the weak can only try to curry favor from the strong. Fancying herself a "predator," Harran stalks the lands in search of things to further her beauty, being incredibly absorbed in polishing her own radiance. In fact, one way to curry her favor is to acknowledge and exult her beauty, and follow her orders with little complaint. A number of Harran's brews, be it food or cosmetic, seem to be derived from ancient texts of witchcraft. Harran views herself as an apex predator on the surface, caring little for humanity and their aims to reclaim it. In fact, she despises most humans for how deceitful they are. To her, only the strongest are able to survive and they are the only ones who can do as they please. Her role in the food chain combined with her beauty has led Harran to being a narcissist who views herself above most others. She mostly travels across the land to slay Raptures and to make herself more attractive. Despite how self-centered she is, those who are able to placate her, whether by following her commands or stroking her ego, tend to be able to end up in her good graces. Harran usually cares for those who treat her well.

Bready

Bready is a member of Cooking Oil, the squad responsible for analyzing and researching edible food in the surface. As Cooking Oil's resident taste tester, Bready has very sensitive taste buds. Not only can she identify the competents of whatever her tongue touches as well as whether or not it is edible, but she can also tell traces of an item's past and history as well as a Nikke's true nature just by licking them. Despite her chubby appearance, Bready prefers to sample food, mainly because of her job and responsibilities. Due to her incredible sense of taste, she can get very addicted to a flavor if one really peaks her interest. However, after licking the protagonist, she finds that he tastes sweet yet doesn't trigger her tongue's analysis, allowing her to enjoy something without her super sense getting in the way. She finds his skin so palatable that she has made it a recurring habit to see him as much as possible just so she can savor his flavor.

Isabel

A member of Inherit, the Pilgrims that possess advanced technology and fight Raptures, yet disregard humanity for their own desires. Isabel in particular is obsessed with the protagonist for some reason, and will go to any lengths to keep him with her forever, even if it means imprisoning him and killing anyone who she believes will take him away. Isabel is Inherit's tracker and combined with her impressive technology, very little can escape her. Though she doesn't care for most of humanity, she's outwardly infatuated with the protagonist. Unlike most Nikkes who wish to reclaim the surface as their primary goal, and act like a married couple with him, including doing intimate activities with him. She's even willing to hurt anyone who would stand in her way and even do something to the commander to prevent him from resisting. This twisted sense of love of her stems back when she used to be a resident of the Ark, where she loved everything about it including its residents, the comrade she built upon and the humans who also resides in there, witnessing her fight for their sake.

Brid

A member of Infinity Rail, the squad that manages and maintains the AZX, the Ark's railway system. Professional to a fault, Brid is most commonly found driving the train, and as a result is rarely seen outside of the train unless on a mandated break. Despite her detached demeanor, she's surprisingly fond of coffee, and looks after her fellow Infinity Rail Nikkes. As the conductor of the AZX, Brid is one of the hardest working Nikkes in the Ark. She is a model of professionalism and would rather spend her time working than most other things. To keep her going, she drinks coffee often and has developed a taste for it. Described as a perfectionist, she doesn't take mistakes lightly or attempts by others to ease her burdens. When the stress from work gets too much, she is known to drink her troubles away with other overworked Nikkes like Mana and Yulha. Despite being very strict, Brid is a nice and chill person when you get to know her and she cares deeply about her friends. Her staunchness in her labor offers her to prioritize the safety of all passengers at all cost, making sure what happened in her past life at the AFX does not ever happen again.

Tia

Tia is the airheaded, sensitive, and affectionate member of Dazzling Pearl. Having a tendency to forget things, Naga has to often remind Tia to do basic tasks like putting on her stockings, sitting up straight, and to not hug people when not prompted. Despite this, Tia is a model student and is very obedient. She's an avid foodie who has a fondness for sweets and runs her own blog where she can spend just as much if not more time taking pictures of her meals as she does eating them. She also has a love of reptiles and carries around an encyclopedia dedicated to them. Though normally absentminded, Tia is very good at cheering people up when they are down. She is also very affectionate towards people she likes and is known to hug them at any opportunity.

Kilo

A member of Heavy Gram who has been shifted around from squad to squad and now finds herself as a citizen of Crown's kingdom. She rides inside of a giant robot called T.A.L.O.S. Kilo is a shy, soft-spoken individual who longs for a group to belong to. She and T.A.L.O.S. have transferred from squad to squad, so she hasn't been able to get close with others. Despite her passiveness, Kilo wishes to help others in any way she can and has the skills to be of assistance, except when she has doubts about her abilities. On the battlefield, Kilo and T.A.L.O.S. serve as the ultimate generalists, essentially being able to do what is needed when any given situation arrives, however not being proficient in anything.

Frima

The leader of Cafe Sweety, Tetra's most powerful combat Nikkes who largely work as fixers. Her favorite drink is coffee with cream, and no matter how much she drinks, as long as she has a couch and eye mask, she can fall asleep 3 seconds flat. Frima is incredibly lazy, her speech rendered in a few laconic word statements. If there's no job lined up for the day, she'll spend nearly the entire day snoozing on her sofa. Even on the job, she's on the brink of falling asleep, though she does have moments of seriousness (mostly when Milk and Sugar threaten to take her cut). As a human, Frima was a mercenary and she and her friends had to prepare for whatever job they were paid to do. Despite doing all they could, they all ended up dying anyway. From then onward, Frima grew to loathe being prepared, believing doing so will lead to bad luck as it is an imperfect system prone to accidents. To her, doing nothing became the best way to go through life and her main method of doing so is by sleeping. Though others might view this as a wasteful life, Frima is as happy as can be. There's no risk for being imperfect and no significant consequences for accidents.
