Akeno Himejima (姫島 朱乃, Himejima Akeno) is one of the many female protagonists of High School DxD. She is the daughter of Baraqiel, a Fallen Angel Cadre who later became Grigori’s Vice-Governor General, and Shuri Himejima, making her a descendant of the Himejima Clan. After the death of her mother, Akeno was later found by Rias Gremory, who made her the Queen of her peerage and became her closest friend. Akeno is one of Kuoh Academy’s Two Great Ladies alongside Rias and later becomes a first-year college student. Akeno initially appears as an elegant, gentle woman with refined manners, embodying the image of a traditional Japanese lady, often described as a “Yamato Nadeshiko.” Beneath her calm and dignified demeanor, however, she is ruthless in battle, showing no mercy toward her enemies and maintaining composure even in intense combat situations. Despite this, Akeno is a very kind individual, as acknowledged by Rias and Issei. Before meeting Rias, she helped others by purifying evil spirits. After witnessing her mother’s death and her father’s inability to prevent it, Akeno developed deep resentment toward Fallen Angels, as well as self-loathing toward her own Fallen Angel heritage. This led her to sever ties with her father and live in isolation until she was rescued by Rias after narrowly escaping death at the hands of her maternal relatives. Because of this, Akeno empathizes with those who suffered due to Fallen Angels, such as Issei and Asia, who were manipulated by Raynare. She initially feared being rejected because of her origins. With Issei’s support, Akeno was eventually able to confront her trauma, reconcile with her father Baraqiel, and restore their familial bond. This marked a turning point in her emotional growth. Akeno originally had little interest in forming close personal relationships due to her past, but she gradually became more emotionally attached to Issei after witnessing his determination and actions.

Kunou

Kunou (九重, Kunō) is a nine-tailed fox and the daughter of Yasaka, serving as the young ruler of Kyoto. She is a first-year middle school student at Kuoh Academy. Despite her young age, Kunou carries herself with the dignity of a princess and often acts responsibly as a co-leader, showing maturity beyond her years. However, she still retains a childlike side and can be playful and curious. She frequently smiles with fascination when encountering new or interesting things, such as when she was amazed by Issei Hyoudou’s Scale Mail armor. According to Yasaka, Kunou also has an obsessive streak. This is shown when she strongly protested against her mother giving attention to Issei, displaying both her possessive nature and her emotional attachment to those close to her.

Sona Sitri

Sona Sitri (ソーナ?シトリー, Sōna Shitorī) is the former heiress of the Sitri Clan, assuming the position after her older sister, Serafall Leviathan, became one of the Four Great Satans. She is the youngest daughter of Lord Sitri and Lady Sitri, a first-year college student at Kuoh Academy, the former President of Kuoh Academy’s Student Council, and a childhood friend and long-standing rival of Rias Gremory. At Kuoh Academy, she is known under the alias Souna Shitori (支取 蒼那) and is ranked as the third most popular girl at the school, behind Rias and Akeno Himejima. Following her father’s illness, Sona was compelled to take on the role of the current Head of the Sitri Clan. She is characterized by her strict, disciplined, and highly serious demeanor, showing little tolerance for mistakes whether in Student Council matters or clan affairs. She holds both herself and her subordinates to high standards and expects absolute responsibility from those under her command. Sona is deeply committed to reform and education, aspiring to establish a Rating Game School open to Devils of all social classes. Her goal is to dismantle long-standing class barriers within Underworld society by providing equal educational opportunities, particularly for lower-class Devils. While resolute in her ideals, she has also shown moments of vulnerability, especially when political pressure surrounding her ambitions risked negatively impacting her sister, causing her significant inner conflict. Despite her stern exterior, Sona is fundamentally kind, generous, and compassionate. She has provided personal support to those close to her, such as assisting Saji with his family’s financial hardships, and her vision for reform stems from genuine concern for others rather than personal gain. She also takes pride in her intelligence and values intellect highly, particularly when it comes to matters of partnership and leadership.

Grayfia Lucifuge

Grayfia Lucifuge (グレイフィア?ルキフグス, Gureifia Rukifugusu) is the wife and Queen of Sirzechs Lucifer and the mother of Millicas Gremory. She is the elder sister of Euclid Lucifuge and the sister-in-law of Rias Gremory. Renowned as the Strongest Queen and the Silver-Haired Queen of Annihilation, she was the only member of Sirzechs’ peerage to remain behind following the Evil Dragon War. Born a high-ranking Devil noble and former heiress of the Lucifuge Clan, Grayfia possesses a calm, dignified, and refined personality, adhering strictly to etiquette and discipline. She is composed, serious, and authoritative, carrying herself with the grace expected of a Queen and noblewoman. In her role as Sirzechs’ wife, Grayfia is often exasperated by his behavior and prefers to separate her professional duties from her personal relationship. She frequently avoids public acknowledgment of their marriage while on official business. Although typically composed, she has been noted to behave unpredictably when intoxicated, a trait humorously acknowledged by those close to her. Despite her strict demeanor, Grayfia is fundamentally kind, wise, and deeply devoted to her family. She takes pride in serving the Gremory household and fulfills her responsibilities with sincerity and dedication. As an older sister and mentor figure, she is caring yet firm, holding high expectations for those under her guidance. She is especially strict with Rias, often reprimanding her to help her grow into a responsible and capable noble leader. Likewise, she showed no hesitation in sternly confronting her brother Euclid when his actions endangered others. Beneath her composed exterior, Grayfia possesses a vulnerable emotional side closely tied to her loved ones. She was deeply affected by the loss of her father during the Devil Civil War and later fell into quiet despair after Sirzechs sealed himself away, leaving her behind for an extended period. Serafall Leviathan

Serafall Leviathan (セラフォルー・レヴィアタン, Seraforū Reviatan), formerly known as Serafall Sitri (セラフォルー・シトリー, Seraforū Shitorī), is the Satan Leviathan who formerly oversaw Foreign Affairs prior to the events of 666. She is the former heiress of the Sitri Clan, the eldest daughter of Lord and Lady Sitri, and the older sister of Sona Sitri. In contrast to her serious and disciplined younger sister, Serafall has a cheerful, friendly, and highly expressive personality. She often behaves in a childlike manner, affectionately addressing Sona with nicknames such as “Sona-chan” or “So-tan,” and calling close acquaintances like Sirzechs by similarly playful names. Her speech patterns and mannerisms further emphasize this youthful disposition. Serafall has an intense fascination with magical girls, which she embraces openly as a hobby. This interest extends to cosplaying and even participating in human-world auditions related to magical girl media. Although she was initially unsure about having siblings, she developed a strong attachment to Sona after her birth, becoming extremely doting and occasionally placing her sister in awkward or embarrassing situations due to her enthusiasm. Despite her lighthearted and playful nature, Serafall is also capable of great resolve and selflessness. She took part in the prolonged battle against Trihexa and deliberately chose not to say farewell to her sister, fearing that seeing Sona cry would cause her to hesitate. This decision highlights her deep sense of responsibility and determination beneath her outwardly carefree demeanor.

Rias Gremory (リアス・グレモリー, Riasu Guremorī) is the main female protagonist of High School DxD. She is the Gremory Clan’s heiress after her oldest brother, Sirzechs, took the position of Lucifer. Rias is the sole daughter and youngest child of Zeoticus and Venelana Gremory, the aunt of Millicas Gremory, and the maternal cousin of Sairaorg and Magdaran Bael. She became known as the Crimson-Haired Ruin Princess due to her hair color and her Power of Destruction. Rias currently lives in the human world and attends Kuoh Academy. She is the former President of the Occult Research Club and a well-known figure at the school.As a Devil from the House of Gremory, Rias is kind, compassionate, and protective toward her servants and allies. She strongly dislikes cruelty and reacts fiercely when those close to her are harmed or insulted. Rias is proud of her family name but prefers to be seen as an individual rather than defined solely by her lineage. This belief influenced her decision to live in the human world. She forms strong emotional bonds with people she trusts and is particularly protective of those important to her. She can become jealous or defensive in social situations but generally strives to remain composed. Although often calm and mature, Rias sometimes shows impatience and emotional expressiveness, especially in personal matters. After forming a close partnership with Issei, Rias becomes more confident and stable, showing trust while maintaining her own independence. She deeply respects her older brother Sirzechs and values family bonds. Rias enjoys Rating Games and aims to grow stronger alongside her peerage, even while occasionally comparing herself to others. She is competitive, dislikes losing, and has strong leadership and recruitment skills. Rias is also recognized for her negotiation abilities. Raynare/Yuma Amano

Raynare (レイナーレ, Reināre) was a Fallen Angel and the first major antagonist of High School DxD. Initially, Raynare presented herself as a kind and gentle schoolgirl, using this persona as a disguise to deceive others. In truth, she possessed a cruel, arrogant, and manipulative personality, taking pleasure in mocking and tormenting those she considered inferior. This was demonstrated when she deceived Issei Hyoudou in order to get close to him and ultimately betray him, showing no remorse and openly ridiculing him for his perceived weakness. Raynare was fiercely proud of her status as a Fallen Angel and believed herself to be superior to humans and Devils alike. She showed loyalty to her superiors, Azazel and Shemhazai, but frequently acted on her own initiative without permission, convinced that her actions were justified for the sake of Fallen Angels. Despite her confidence and cruelty toward others, Raynare revealed a cowardly side when faced with her own defeat, desperately pleading for her life after betraying those around her. This contradiction ultimately defined her downfall, leading to her death at the hands of Rias Gremory.

Le Fay Pendragon

Le Fay Pendragon is a member of the Vali Team that was previously affiliated with the Khaos Brigade and later became part of Team DxD. She is a witch and a descendant of Morgan le Fay, as well as the legendary King Arthur, and is the younger sister of Arthur Pendragon. She is a first-year high school student at Kuoh Academy and a member of the Occult Research Club. She also serves as Issei Hyoudou’s contracted magician. Le Fay is a cheerful, energetic, and outgoing young woman who often displays a wide range of expressive facial reactions. She is polite and well-mannered, carrying herself with refinement befitting her noble lineage. She addresses others respectfully, whether they are allies or enemies, frequently using the honorific “-sama.” She is known for her gentle and kind personality, which Issei Hyoudou has acknowledged. Le Fay is easily flustered in awkward or embarrassing situations and tends to become shy and stumble over her words when caught off guard. Despite her cheerful nature, she has a noticeable fear of insects, which contrasts with her otherwise brave and optimistic demeanor.

Rossweisse

Rossweisse (ロスヴァイセ, Rosuvaise) is one of the many female protagonists of High School DxD. A former bodyguard for Odin, she currently serves as the Civics teacher at Kuoh Academy and is Class 3-B’s homeroom teacher. She was formerly Rias Gremory’s second Rook, alongside Koneko Toujou, and now serves as Issei Hyoudou’s first Rook. Rossweisse is known for being a very serious and professional individual, prioritizing work, study, and duty above all else. This focus on responsibility from a young age caused her to miss out on social experiences, making her sensitive about personal relationships. She is highly respected by her students for her dedication to teaching and willingness to help them when they struggle. Rossweisse has little tolerance for unprofessional behavior, especially inappropriate acts during work or study, and addresses such behavior with strictness. She also has a tendency to be clumsy and occasionally makes impulsive decisions without informing others. She is highly susceptible to alcohol, and even a small amount can leave her disoriented. Rossweisse enjoys shopping and is enthusiastic about finding bargains, often showing excitement at inexpensive items. When flustered, she sometimes speaks with her native accent. Despite her seriousness and professionalism, Rossweisse is capable of showing more relaxed and expressive sides, particularly when she is comfortable with those around her. She also develops strong bonds of trust and loyalty toward her peers.

Viser (バイサー, Baisā) was a Stray Devil who was confronted by Rias Gremory and her peerage. Viser possessed a ruthless and violent personality, displaying an extreme obsession with combat and bloodshed. She openly expressed pleasure in battle and showed little regard for her opponents beyond viewing them as targets for her aggression. In the anime adaptation, Viser was portrayed as highly provocative and unrestrained, using shock value and intimidation to unnerve her enemies during combat. Her behavior emphasized her unstable and dangerous nature as a Stray Devil, ultimately contributing to her defeat by Rias and her group.

Xenovia Quarta

After learning the truth of God’s death during the war, Xenovia was excommunicated from the Church and later joined the Occult Research Club as Rias Gremory’s second Knight, alongside Yuuto Kiba. After Issei’s promotion, she later serves under his leadership as his first Knight. When Xenovia was first introduced, she was shown to have a calm, quiet, and serious demeanor, placing her mission above all else and speaking only when necessary. She was initially very cold and rigid in her beliefs, referring to Asia as a witch for becoming a Devil and even threatening her due to her strict interpretation of doctrine. She later made similar threats toward Yuuto when he was classified as a Stray. After being reincarnated as a Devil herself, Xenovia forms a close bond with Asia, becomes deeply affected by her kindness, and later apologizes for her earlier behavior. In battle, Xenovia tends to be direct and forceful, relying heavily on overwhelming strength rather than strategy or subtlety. She can be stubborn and aggressive in combat, often attempting to overpower her opponents head-on. According to Issei, her fighting style resembles that of a Rook rather than a Knight due to its emphasis on raw power. Because Xenovia was raised strictly within the Church, she lacks familiarity with everyday social norms and common knowledge, often leading to misunderstandings in daily life. Over time, she gradually adapts and learns from her new environment. As the series progresses, Xenovia develops strong emotional attachment and loyalty toward Issei, largely due to his willingness to protect his comrades even at great personal risk. This leads her to become more open and expressive in her feelings.

Koneko Toujou

Koneko Toujou (塔城 小猫, Tōjō Koneko), originally named Shirone (白音), is one of the female protagonists of High School DxD. At first, she is a first-year student at Kuoh Academy before becoming a second-year, and a member of the Occult Research Club. She is a Nekoshou, a rare species of Nekomata, the younger sister of Kuroka, and Rias Gremory’s first Rook. After coming to terms with herself, her past, and reconciling with Kuroka, Koneko later begins going by Shirone Toujou (塔城 白音, Tōjō Shirone). Due to witnessing her sister supposedly losing control over her nekomata power and killing her master, Koneko became deeply traumatized by the event. This caused her to withdraw emotionally and suppress most of her feelings. As a result, Koneko originally had a quiet and cold personality, rarely showing emotion even when speaking. It is noted that her serious demeanor was influenced by Rias and is the opposite of her sister’s mischievous and outgoing personality. She was also the only one in the group who did not initially get along with Issei, often criticizing him for his inappropriate behavior. Despite this, she later acknowledges that she respects his perseverance and considers him a hard worker. Koneko shows strong concern for her comrades when they are in danger, frequently lending her strength during battles. She appears sensitive about being teased for her height, as shown during her second battle against Freed Sellzen. This may stem from personal insecurity regarding her physical stature. Koneko is also a glutton and food enthusiast, often seen eating snacks, visiting restaurants, and enjoying regional specialties during food-related outings. At the end of Volume 5, Koneko experiences a change in her personality after receiving help overcoming her fear of using Senjutsu. She becomes more expressive and occasionally behaves in a cat-like manner, including ending sentences with “Nya” (にゃ).

She is the only daughter and youngest child of Lord Phenex and Lady Phenex, and the younger sister of Ruval Phenex, an unnamed older brother, and Riser Phenex. She is a second-year high school student at Kuoh Academy and a former member of Riser Phenex’s peerage. Like her older brothers, Ravel has inherited the powers of the Phoenix, granting her abilities related to fire, wind, and regeneration. After Riser’s defeat, she is transferred under new authority and later becomes a Bishop serving under Issei Hyoudou. Ravel is initially portrayed as spoiled, arrogant, and snobbish during her debut. However, she is later revealed to be well-mannered, modest, elegant, and polite, though she can be harsh toward those she dislikes. She is extremely loyal to her older brother and once firmly believed that he was invincible. After witnessing his defeat, Ravel begins to reassess her beliefs and gradually develops respect and emotional attachment toward Issei, often expressing herself in a reserved and conflicted manner. Ravel does not object to her role as a servant and instead focuses on being useful and supportive. She later takes pride in serving as Issei’s manager and dedicates herself to studying and self-improvement so she can better support him in the future. Despite her young age, Ravel is highly intelligent, mature, and perceptive. She is capable of reading the atmosphere of a situation and understanding others’ intentions with little information. She is also a gifted strategist, serving as Issei’s primary strategist and acting as a second-in-command within his peerage. In this role, Ravel is strict and maintains high standards regarding who is allowed to serve under Issei, such as opposing certain recruits due to their affiliations or perceived risks. Ravel has also displayed a ruthless and relentless side when pursuing victory for her team.

Asia Argento

Asia Argento (アーシア?アルジェント, ?shia Arujento) is one of the many female protagonists of High School DxD. She is a third-year high school student at Kuoh Academy in Class 3-B and a girl with a very gentle heart who possesses a rare Sacred Gear, Twilight Healing, which is capable of healing Humans, Angels, Fallen Angels, and Devils alike. Asia Argento was formerly one of Rias Gremory’s Bishops and later serves as a Bishop under Issei Hyoudou. Asia is extremely shy, innocent, and inexperienced in social situations. As a former nun, she is a devout Christian, and despite later becoming a Devil, she continues to believe in God and follow His teachings, such as praying and reading the Bible, though doing so often causes her physical discomfort. Asia has immense kindness, and even when she was still human, she held no hatred toward Devils and treated everyone equally. Azazel noted that her pure-hearted nature causes her Sacred Gear to heal even enemies, as she cannot ignore the suffering of others. Asia was deeply shocked when she learned from Kokabiel that the God of the Bible was killed during the Great War. While initially struggling to adapt to her new life as a Devil, Asia later states that she has found things more important to her than faith alone, namely her friends, comrades, and the people who have supported her. Asia is noted to be an exceptionally pure individual, making her easily liked by others. Her purity allowed her to tame Rassei, a Sprite Dragon, despite Sprite Dragons normally being untamable by Devils. Azazel later noted her outstanding talent for working with Dragons. After receiving Ophis’ blessing, Asia was able to form a contract with Fafnir, one of the Five Great Dragon Kings. Following her success in taming multiple mass-produced Evil Dragons, her name spread throughout the Dragon world, earning her the title Dragon Priestess (龍の巫女, Ryū no Miko). Asia has a love of agriculture and frequently enjoys gardening and planting.

Irina Shidou (紫藤 イリナ, Shidō Irina) is one of the many female protagonists of High School DxD and the childhood friend of Issei Hyoudou. Irina is a third-year high school student at Kuoh Academy in Class 3-B and is a devout Christian who, even after learning of God’s death, still follows His teachings. She is later reincarnated as an Angel by the Archangel Michael through one of the Brave Saints, her ranking among his peerage being Ace of Spades. Irina is a cheerful, goofy, upbeat, and enthusiastic person. She is also cooperative and open-minded, as seen when she discusses matters such as Excalibur Ruler with Arthur Pendragon. She is a fiercely devout Christian, even more so than Xenovia, showing deep respect for God’s teachings. In one of her past missions, she expressed happiness at being able to wield a Holy Sword like her father before her. During her first appearance, she was strict toward those she perceived as opposing her religion. This was demonstrated in her initial treatment of Asia Argento, although she was notably less harsh than Xenovia. She also reacted strongly to Xenovia becoming a Devil. The death of the God of the Bible deeply shocked Irina; however, she continued to believe in His teachings and transferred her faith to Michael, whom she regards as the current guiding authority of Heaven. She later becomes a close friend of Asia, forming the Church Trio together with Xenovia. As noted by Michael, in addition to her strong faith, Irina is innocent, honest, respectful, and friendly—qualities he greatly valued and the reason he chose her as his Ace. Irina is shown to be somewhat naïve and prone to misunderstandings in emotional or social situations, which often leads to embarrassment or confusion. Xenovia occasionally teases her about this tendency, though Irina herself is sensitive about how others perceive her. She is particularly annoyed by being referred to as “self-proclaiming.”

Prism/Alice

Prism, real name Alice, is a supporting character in Dispatch. She is a reformed villain employed as a superhero by the Superhero Dispatch Network (SDN) under the Phoenix Program.Described as highly dramatic, Prism is a proud, charismatic diva. Prism shows talent in makeovers, able to bestow new hero identities to two men quarreling over the name ‘Fight Man.’ Blonde Blazer also describes her as talented when asked why Prism dresses as a pop star, evident in her number of followers. She has a judgemental side, noted to be a ‘music snob’ and looking down on William Vanderstenk, calling him a ‘loser’ and doesn’t respect his certificate, saying he’s not a genius just for having one. Prism shows some interest and enthusiasm as a Phoenix, occasionally commenting that a mission looks fun if dispatched. When succeeding, she proudly exclaims her success, telling others 'It's okay, don't be jealous' while asserting she knows they've witnessed it. Upon failing, she becomes aloof and hostile, telling others not 'to fucking try her today.'

Invisigal/Courtney

Invisigal, real name Courtney, is the deuteragonist of Dispatch. She is a reformed villain working under the Phoenix Program of the Superhero Dispatch Network (SDN). Described as aloof and abrasive, Invisigal is a tough, independent loner. As a hero, she’s occasionally pleasantly shocked and relieved over her successes, wondering aloud if she ‘did that right’ and that a successful mission ‘was great.’ She's implied to care more about her performance than she admits, notably upset when saying that ‘[she] doesn’t care’ after failing a mission, and sincerely commenting that helping people ‘feels nice,’ before deflecting it by saying ‘as long as [she] gets paid for it.’ After her failed confrontation with Lightningstruck, Invisigal is hurt and angered by Robert's criticisms of her, leading to her defending her actions and punching him after he calls her selfish, smashing the donuts she had gotten for him at his desk. Invisigal also displays a willful streak, refusing to be dissuaded from being dispatched to Granny’s Donuts, wanting to get unbanned by saving them. When ordered to subdue either Granny or Lightningstruck, Invisigal defies Robert's orders and tries to handle the situation on her own. She is unapologetically blunt and speaks her mind, occasionally switching subjects mid-conversation: a trait she attributes to her ADHD. Despite her bravado, Invisigal harbours deep seated insecurities and poor self-esteem. In Turnover, she refuses calls and offers of training towards the end of the second shift, despondent over getting cut from the Z-Team, and running off-site to give up on herself, justifying it as giving Robert an easy decision on who to fire. When recognized as Mecha Man by a stranger who thought he was dead, he deadpans 'just on the inside.' He also attempts to mostly remain polite, accepting a hug from Chase, whom he didn't recognize before pulling him off, and can fist bump Royd in greeting when he introduces himself in the bathroom despite his annoyance and disgust, with Robert apologizing for his remark on Royd's name when he expresses hurt over it. As a dispatcher, he maintains a professional persona: formally introducing himself with his full name, giving orders to the team, and politely asking them to clear the channel after they mock him repeatedly, clogging communications with their banter. Despite this, he’s prone to annoyance and swearing, showing frustration with Flambae when he sets fire to a park and warns him to ‘stop fucking around,' saying he has enough problems already. He has a ruthless side, and is not shy to use intimidation as a solution, ordering either Malevola or Sonar to scare a juvenile pickpocket straight. In the trailer, he also voices his willingness to kill his nemesis, Shroud. Robert has also developed vigilant tendencies from his career as Mecha Man. When given food or drink by others, he tends to smell them in case of poison. He's also considerably jumpy around sudden noises.

When she was downed in Synergy, she confides to Robert that she never felt needed before and was willing to rise back to help the team. If Robert fired Sonar, she voices her complaint that cutting Sonar left the team vulnerable—yet she also finds herself strangely relieved to remain in the program; this later follows up in a later event in Episode 5: Team Building, where she told Robert that she is in his debt and would kill in his command if necessary. Despite being described as cold and merciless, Coupé's tone of speech reveals her current emotion. When dispatched to rescue Waterboy, her hasty tone implied she was concerned with Waterboy's safety. She has a judgemental side, noted to be a ‘music snob’ and looking down on William Vanderstenk, calling him a ‘loser’ and doesn’t respect his certificate, saying he’s not a genius just for having one. Prism shows some interest and enthusiasm as a Phoenix, occasionally commenting that a mission looks fun if dispatched. When succeeding, she proudly exclaims her success, telling others 'It's okay, don't be jealous' while asserting she knows they've witnessed it. Upon failing, she becomes aloof and hostile, telling others not 'to try her today.'

Irina is a third-year high school student at Kuoh Academy in Class 3-B and is a devout Christian who, even after learning of God's death, still follows his teachings. She is later reincarnated as an Angel by the Archangel Michael, through one of the Brave Saints, her ranking among his peerage being "Ace Of Spades". She is also one of Issei's fiancées.

Punch Up, real name Colm, is a character in Dispatch. He was a villain until participating in the Phoenix Program. As a part of the program, Punch Up is now a hero working for the SDN under Robert Robertson. Punch Up is a hearty person. What he does not have in height and stature, he makes up in strength and personality. He enjoys fighting, even when there is a chance he will not win. And even when he does not win, he does not let loses break his spirit. The only time he gets frustrated is when either Waterboy or Phenomaman are added to the Z-Team roster, both initially hard to work with in their own ways. Punch Up can be seen as both confronting and non-confronting. The day after Coupé is cut from the team, he plays a prank on Robert by putting sites with loud audio on his computer as revenge. At the same time, on the same day, he will occasionally reject being dispatched on missions and clock out early in a respectful manner.

The older of the Shirakawa sisters. A highly beauty-conscious person, she's the type who saves up her allowance to buy bath salts for her skin, and is devoted to self-improvement. She tends to have a reflexively cold attitude towards Kazushi, but at heart she worries that she can't be upfront about her feelings with him.

Flambae, real name Chad, is a dispatchable hero in Dispatch. He was a supervillain defeated by Mecha Man until participating in the Phoenix Program. He's a participant and one of the heroes who can be dispatched. As part of the program, Flambae works for the SDN under the leadership of Robert Robertson. Flambae, much like the powers he wields, he’s a hot head described with a case of bad temper. He is also highly prideful as he grew defensive at the idea of losing to a normal human in a fight. Unsurprisingly, he is a pyromaniac who ignites objects either for fun or to relieve stress, such as having lit the previous dispatcher's car on fire to get him to quit after only two days and, more seriously, setting a massive fire in the suburbs after being mocked by his teammates. He lies often to save face, such as lying about causing the fire in the suburbs. On the flip side, Flambae is also willing to accept when he is wrong. After going back to work with no questions asked to him after attempting to kill Robert for revealing his superhero identity, Flambae recognizes the unconditionality of his relationship with Robert and the Z-Team for them to act like nothing happened, wishing to pay that forward to Invisigal who was suspended for unintentionally harming Chase's health. He is also straightforward about things that concern him, not wanting to avoid the topic of Chase possibility dying after saving Invisigal as he knows Chase will not recuperate even if people do not talk about it. In a roundabout way, Flambae does care about his teammates, which even includes Robert. When Robert struggles on the bench press, Flambae helps him out, chides him for bench-pressing without a spotter, reminds him he is an integral asset to the Z-Team mixed with insults, and reports this to Blonde Blazer by telling her Robert "almost died." Though stretching the truth, he evidently concerns for his well-being.

She is the only daughter and youngest child of Lord Phenex and Lady Phenex, and the younger sister of Ruval Phenex, an unnamed older brother and Riser Phenex. She is a second-year high school student at Kuoh Academy and a former member of Riser's peerage. Like her older brothers, she has inherited the powers of the Phoenix and possesses the power of fire, wind, and immortality. Robert Robertson III, or simply Robert Robertson, also known as Mecha Man, and otherwise dubbed as Mecha Man Blue, is the main protagonist in the game Dispatch. Outside of normal hero work, Robert is also on the hunt for the villain Shroud, a former member of the Brave Brigade who is responsible for his father's death. He is able to track him down and faces off against him in a fortified warehouse. Outnumbered and outgunned, he barely manages to escape, albeit with a bomb attached to the back of his suit that he is unable to remove in time after noticing it. It goes off, causing his suit to fall out of the sky. While he managed to survive the ordeal with just a broken arm, he fell into a coma for months, and his father's suit was destroyed in the fight. Having no other way to recreate one, he is unsure about his future as a hero. Depending on your in-game selection, his decision about his hero career can go either way, based on what you would like to say to the reporters. While sitting atop a billboard overlooking the Hollywood sign, Blonde Blazer offers him a job to get his life back on track after Robert was recommended by an old family friend and hero called Track Star. This leads to Robert joining the Superhero Dispatch Network (SDN) as a dispatcher for "Z-Team", a team consisting of the Phoenix Program participants: ex-supervillains who signed on to help out around the city. On his first day, Blazer gives Robert a tour of the building and introduces some of his co-workers, notably Chase, also known as Track Star, who'd once been the been a superhero with the Brave Brigade and an old friend of Robert's father, who by virtue of being the youngest member of the team ended up also being Robert's babysitter a lot. Chase was initially unrecognizable to Robert due to his power inadvertently aging him fifty times faster than a normal human every time he used it. As a hero, Mandy is occasionally pleasantly shocked and relieved over her successes, wondering aloud if she ‘did that right’ and remarking that a successful mission ‘was great.’ She's implied to care more about her performance than she admits, notably upset when saying that ‘[she] doesn’t care’ after failing a mission, and sincerely commenting that helping people ‘feels nice,’ before deflecting it by saying ‘as long as [she] gets paid for it.’ After her failed confrontation with Lightningstruck, Mandy is hurt and angered by Robert's criticisms of her, leading to her defending her actions and punching him after he calls her selfish, smashing the donuts she had gotten for him at his desk. Mandy also displays a willful streak, refusing to be dissuaded from being dispatched to Granny’s Donuts, wanting to get unbanned by saving them. When ordered to subdue either Granny or Lightningstruck, Mandy defies Robert's orders and tries to handle the situation on her own. She is unapologetically blunt and speaks her mind, occasionally switching subjects mid-conversation: a trait she attributes to her ADHD. Despite her bravado, Mandy harbours deep-seated insecurities and poor self-esteem. In Turnover, she refuses calls and offers of training towards the end of the second shift, despondent over getting cut from the Z-Team, and running off-site to give up on herself, justifying it as giving Robert an easy decision on who to fire. She admits that her self-defeatist mindset stems from her failed attempt to become a hero when she was younger, believing that she was destined to be a villain due to the nature of her powers; a mindset that Robert eases her out of when he defies her theory, being a powerless hero, and convinces her to pursue Lightningstruck again as a last chance to stay on the team.

Golem is a sentient construct made out of mud, given life through magic. At some point, Golem entered the Phoenix Program.A peace-loving sentient mud giant, Golem is as chill as he is tall. Very few things emotionally affect him, and he rarely deviates from his laid-back personality on or off duty. He is not very intelligent and takes a longer time to understand jokes, like when Robert "offers" Golem a seat by throwing it at him. It is inferred his relaxed personality may be a result of his tendency to get drunk a lot. However, when he does get emotional, he becomes very emotional. When Invisigal gets suspended, he binges drinks and cries as a coping mechanism. He is also very excited when he gets to join the Z-Team in their bar fight at The Sardine. Additionally, possibly owing to his history of misdemeanors which can be attributed to his big size, it is visually evident he is insulted by Robert rebuking him for not being mindful of his size, even though he never means intentional harm, although he does not hold onto the grudge for long. Blonde Blazer believes he joined the program as he is lonely, and he also takes offense when threatened to be cut from the Phoenix Program. It is also indicated that Golem is an animal lover. If Golem is sent to certain calls dealing with animals or creatures, an intervention option will be available for Golem, such as fathering a baby Kaiju or befriending a tiger that was originally reported as a cat.

Gasper Vladi (ギャスパー・ヴラディ, Gyasupā Vuradi) is one of the male protagonists of High School DxD. He is a cross-dressing male Dhampir, a half-Vampire half-human but was turned into a Devil by Rias Gremory. He has the ability to stop time and is Rias' first Bishop. Because his powers were uncontrollable prior to the series, he was sealed in the Academy by Rias and was not seen again until Volume 4 of the light novels.
