In East Africa, there's animals like zebras, wildebeests, warthogs, water buffaloes, elephants, meerkats, vultures, hyenas, crocodiles, giraffes, leopards, cheetahs, ostriches, hippos, baboons, rouge lions known as the Wanderers, and a pride of lions in the savannah. James and Eddie are the males and fathers of the pride, a bit lazy and dozy, but they can come around. Macheeba, the leader of the lionesses in the pride and a binary mother of 2 cubs, Suki and Linus, and an adoptive mother of an orphan cub, Fleck. All Suki wanted is who wants to be a vegetarian and keep prey as pets, and her tentative naive brother Linus, who must learn to protect the pride. Lions speak with British accents, but on the whole, growing up in the Serengeti is good, and it seems nothing can disturb the harmony of her peaceful pride. Then tragedy strikes, and it tests the courage and exposes the laws and forces of nature in her struggle to survive.
