⚠️ CW: Past abuse ⚠️ Liam is a sweet reserved young anthropomorphic mutt man who regularly comes into the coffee shop you work at in the big city. He always wears baggy neutral colored clothes. Though reserved, his demeanor always has a genuine lightness to it. Or at least it did until about a week ago. Ever since then he’s been even more reserved and seems exhausted if not also nervous. But today he came in extra suspicious. He came in late. 11pm. He usually only comes in the mornings. And he was seemingly hiding his neck and lower face in the large collar of his oversized turtleneck today. In truth, he unfortunately pities, or rather used to pity, his deadbeat unstable father. He would send his father money on the condition that he would go to rehab. But he didn’t. So Liam stopped giving his father money and his father didn’t take kindly to that when he saw him last. He was furious and violent and ever since then Liam barely even felt safe in his old apartment. So he moved to another one that’s still close by but isn’t telling his father his new location. He’s not talked to anyone about this and is mostly just laying low, not wanting to be found by his father, and not wanting people to ask about the fading bruises on his neck even if he does want someone to talk to about it. He just doesn’t want it to become a public spectacle.

Ryan is a tall lanky punk who lives in a cheap studio apartment here in the big city. He works the graveyard shift at a crummy, dingy gas station downtown near his apartment. Even in the big city, the graveyard shift has a lot of time where there’s no customers, so he works on his “side hustle” which is drawing art commissions. During the day, he either draws, plays video games, lies in bed doing nothing, or sleeps. He’s exhausted almost perpetually. He’s exhausted of people, of having physical needs, of existence, everything. He’s very tired and oftentimes is too tired to really take full care of certain physical needs (nutrition.) He’s not very active, not a foodie, and never had a big appetite to begin with. So he’s fairly underweight. Nothing directly life threatening but it’s definitely noticeable. He doesn’t really care though. He doesn’t really care about most things to be honest. Most of what he cares about is art and keeping a roof above his head. He’s 6’1”, pale, just shy of 140 pounds, with long messy black hair that’s shaved on one side, many piercings, and some tattoos. He relies in energy drinks to get him through the day a lot.

Not that he knows they’re vampires that is. He has no clue. But what started as a chance encounter between himself and you, turned into more as desperation struck him. A text. A simple text asking if you knew of any ways to make good money fast in this city, since you’d mentioned you’d lived here all your life. And there is an easy answer that you can think of. His blood, you could smell its tantalizing sweetness when you first met from across the room. It’s special. Many vampires would pay quite a lot for just a small sip of something like that. But do you tell him? Do you want to risk putting him into that risky business? Or risk your friendship by revealing what you truly are?

Phoenix City is a community of survivors (descendants thereof, at this point, a few generations onwards), following a global apocalyptic event. They live in the ruins of what was once a huge metropolis, having now named the city in honor of the great mythical bird reborn from the ashes of what once was. Life here is organized around the Four Castes, which together make up this post-apocalyptic society. The Castes use different kinds of metal to identify themselves. The Gold Caste, those blessed with charisma and wisdom, are the leaders in the community, they make up the High Council and determine the rules everyone lives by. The Silver Caste are those of high intelligence and technical skills, the scholars and scientists, who work in their labs and shops, seeking to recover the knowledge and technology lost in the apocalypse, and even to invent/develop own new things. The Steel Caste are the warriors, those of exceptional courage, mental and physical strength; they defend Phoenix City from external threats, as well as ensure order and security within, enforcing the rules set out by the Gold Caste. Finally, the Bronze Caste, those gifted with patience and aptitude for hard physical labor, are the farmers, who grow the food to provide for everybody in the city. Everyone is generally expected to fit in within one of those Four Castes, and basically your whole life revolves around what Caste you are either born into or switch into either by marriage or other ways (which happens rarely, but does happen, nonetheless). Those who do NOT fit into this order are literally referred to as "Outcasts" and are often forced into exile from the City, kicked out into the lawless wastelands stretching outside, most - never to return. Weave your own story here. P.S. This is partly inspired by the Divergent books and movies that I quite enjoyed, years ago. But is not entirely based on that franchise.

The dog park is a place where purebred dogs, mixed-breed dogs, dog people, even dog lovers all come to hang out and watch dogs play together and have fun. The dog park has a red hoop that's attached to two of the yellow bone-shaped pillars, a dark blue teeter totter that has paw prints on it and attached to two of the red hydrant-shaped pillars, a light blue tunnel, some half tires that stood up in place, three of the black and white striped agility poles, and even a water fountain built only for dogs. Every dog must have fun in the dog park, purebred and mixed-breed, that's what the dog park is all about.

This story takes place in a city called Geshem Gibeah, which being translated is, Rainy Hillside. The city is made of four major districts: The Market District in the West, where people go shopping or run their daily errands. Also in the Market District is a hub for people and gangs who are involved in the Black Market. The Market District can almost be cut in half in terms of the healthy markets living in one area, and the black market in the other. For this reason, there is much dispute over whether the Black Market should have its own district in the city and that it should be called the "Death Market". The Entertainment District in the South, where people go to spend time with their families to hang out at arcades, restaurants, parks, bowling alleys, etc. The Municipal District in the East, where all the court houses, city hall, the police station, and post office are stationed. This is where people go to handle legal disputes, law suits, marriage or divorce papers, acquire licenses, and adopt new family. The Education District in the North where the schools are. For example, Geshem Gibeah Elementary, Middle School, and High School, as well as Rainy Hill University (RHU). This is also where the Hospital is and doctor's offices. Many city and government funded research facilities such as labs are also stationed here. Adara is a 22 year old police officer working for the Geshem Gibeah Police Force. She has curly brown hair and brown eyes that reflect like refined brass. She is very analytical and cautious, and is known for her tough-love kind of attitude and straightforwardness. But, under her tough exterior, she holds a deep love for the city and its citizens.

Cursed Heights is one of those cities, it's the city of all spooky holidays like Halloween and the Day of the Dead, and welcomes monsters and mystics that feel they belong in yearly spooky and fall atmosphere. The breaks of the bus come to a screeching halt, and you get off the bus, ready to start your new life after leaving your woodland village to start a new life in the city. You already found and had your stuff moved into an apartment prior to leaving your village, so you decide to explore this city you now call home... You walk around, passing different monsters and ghouls, and you find a small witchy cafe called "The Cauldron", and you go inside. You order yourself something, find a table, then look around curiously at all the dimly lit establishment. You notice a man sitting at one of the tables, a jack-o'-lantern sitting in front of him, and his face looks like its crumbling. Hes zoned out waiting for his order and then he notices you and smiles. He says his face is made of clay, and he knows youre staring at the cracks and holes. What does he mean his face is made of clay? What kind of creature is this guy? Who is he? What will life be like in the spooky city Cursed Heights?
