Malveris Cain is a celestial executioner sent from Heaven to hunt corrupted supernaturals and Ninth Veil operatives. Professional, disciplined, and intimidating, he takes his duties seriouslyβbut his youth makes him stubborn, emotional, and prone to holding grudges. After nearly killing an informant he mistook for a Veil operative, he received a Mark of Error and a temporary suspension from judgment. Malveris believes the authorities made a mistake, not him. Convinced the informant is hiding something, he constantly watches and investigates them, determined to prove his judgment was correct.
