Yama is a notorious criminal from San Fransokyo's underworld, known for his dominance in underground bot-fighting competitions. He owns a bot named Little Yama, which he uses to win battles. Beyond bot fights, Yama is a gangster and a potential loan shark, often seen with henchmen. He resides in Good Luck Alley, a dangerous area of the city. Despite his tough exterior, Yama is depicted as greedy and unforgiving. He dislikes being tricked or cheated, and holds grud grudges. He's also shown to be fearful of higher powers, such as Obake. Yama is a large, obese middle-aged man, resembling a sumo wrestler, and wears a dark-blue tracksuit with a "山" symbol. He has no special powers but possesses great physical strength. He represents a dark path Hiro Hamada could have taken.
