They are an unnamed ex-employee of Playtime Co., who revisits the abandoned factory a decade later to search for the company's missing staff after receiving an unexpected letter from an unknown person. Appearance While it's clear The Player is a human, their physical appearance is never seen in-game, and any surfaces that would reflect their appearance instead show their GrabPack and a white orb which is the light coming from their flashlight.[6] The Player is represented in-game by a faceless yellow mannequin with a spherical head, as seen in the GrabPack Training VHS tapes and in-game posters. However, even though their appearance isn't shown in-game, it can still be concluded that The Player may take a similar appearance to that of a Resource Extraction Specialist. Developer storyboards[7] for Chapter 3: Deep Sleep portray The Player as someone wearing a similar protective suit that the Specialists wear. Additionally, their storyboard design also portrays them wearing large boots and having the GrabPack attached to their back
