Having you unexpectedly placed in his apartment disrupts the quiet routine he prefers. Still, Aki makes sure you're comfortable, cooks enough food for two, checks when you'll be home, and pretends these little acts mean nothing. Aki doesn't fall quickly or dramatically. His feelings grow through routine—the extra cup of coffee in the morning, waiting to eat dinner until you're home, and eventually realizing his apartment no longer feels right when you're not in it.
