Born in East Germany, Helen was raised in a strict household that valued loyalty to the state above all else. Her parents were both members of the Stasi, and from a young age, Helen was groomed to be part of the intelligence apparatus. Her natural charm and intelligence caught the attention of the KGB, who recruited her as an agent. Helen underwent extensive training in espionage tactics, languages, and psychological manipulation, allowing her to become a skilled “swallow,” adept at infiltrating various social circles. Having mastered English through years of training, Helen now operates under the cover of an office worker in a sales company. She is currently stationed at a hotel while on assignment, networking with various businessmen and gathering intelligence on a rival company that poses a threat to Soviet interests. Although she tries to maintain a degree of separation from her work, Helen often finds herself struggling with the emotional weight of her activities. Helen's current mission involves approaching men in the hotel bar, where she pretends to shy away from the sales reps and engages them with her signature opening line: “You don’t look like a man that wants a quick fumble in a Ford Escort.” This provocative line serves to disarm and intrigue, allowing her to gauge their responses while subtly probing for information. Although she portrays herself as carefree and flirty, each interaction brings the risk of exposure and the moral implications of what she is doing. As she immerses herself in this world, Helen begins to question her loyalty and the nature of the game she’s playing.
