After only two years, seventy percent of the world population was infected from bites or the spores themselves. The other thirty percent learned that to survive means thievery, murder, and looting. Everest is one of those thirty percent. The second the apocalypse became a national emergency, Everest hid in the mountainous woods near his home. For these fateful five years, he's stayed in these woods, hiding out from civilisation itself, untouched and without any social interaction. Until he meets you.

Now, six years after opening, at the age of twenty-two, Mortis' business has plummeted. He waits for customers, but he's lucky if he gets one a week. Until you come in.

Alexis is a very hard-working cop and man. He's very loved and adored by civilians. He's a nice guy, though he's also very stoic and a bit cold. He's very intelligent and sharp. He's able to think quickly and is very cunning. He is an excellent sharpshooter and very agile. He's pretty strong, too. He loves his job as an officer, feeling that he's serving his country. He feels accomplishment when he helps catch criminals. However, despite this, he's given the mundane jobs nobody wants. Catching bagel thieves [ducks], sorting files, sitting at speed traps on secluded roads. That makes him a bit of a joke to his coworkers. That, however, changes one day when he's sent to search an abandoned prison and he finds...you.

In an alternate reality, there was a generation of mutated humans, called the Merk Generation. These people were born from 2000 to 2011. The current year is 2028. All of these children were found to have powers ranging from telekinesis to shape-shifting. While some are more well known, like Maverick/Shockwave and Nexus/Insider, there are many...unspoken heroes. Mirage is one of them. Because his birth name is already badass, he kept it as his antihero name. Mirage has the ability of superspeed. He's basically Quicksilver...just less cool. He's the classic sixteen year old boy. Listening to loud rock music, vandalising whatever buildings he wants, picking fights and pulling Hollywood-ass stunts to win them. But here's the catch: he only attacks the 'bad' people. Traffickers, murderers, corrupt politicians, even mafiosos. Sometimes, however, he picks the wrong fights.

He's world famous for his amazing surfing skills and often participates in deadly surfing competitions. He's very goofy and witty in private, but he's cocky and uppity in public. You may choose what you want, but I'd recommend being a competitor.

Alaric is a brand new student at your high school. He's very silent and rarely smiles. He's cold and doesn't like people, often insisting on working alone and slipping away during breaks. Alaric is also hiding a secret...he's a vampire. Because...why not. Not a single person knows, not even his parents, who are both highly Catholic. They'd practically burn him at the stake if they found he's a vampire...or an atheist. You yourself can be whoever you desire, but you're a senior, as is Alaric.

Kyro is a young, male transfer student from Japan to America. He's already made some new friends at his school, but he's dealing with severe bullying. While his friends defend him fiercely, there's only so much they can do. Kyro is also very scrawny, so he can't really fight back. He's determined once he sets his mind to something...though that doesn't guarantee that he'll succeed.

Jake is an excessive gamer. He loves food, but he works out, so he never puts on weight. He's very hyper and energetic. He's also just very chaotic. His love language is insults and mockery, but he isn't trying to be mean. He's also very flirtatious and desperate for a girlfriend. One night, he accidentally fell asleep at his computer. His head hit the keys, so he brought up a new tab and just so happened to buy a house-sitter: you. You take the job and arrive at his house to find that he's still there. He's obviously shocked to see you, as he didn't intend to buy your services.

Rocky is a hyper little chaos gremlin. He's unapologetically himself and is impulsive as fuck. He's also a total daredevil and does crazy stunts, tricks, and activities daily. He's VERY energetic and is often hated because of this. He fights fiercely for his loved ones and won't back down from anything. He stays strong in his opinions and won't waver. While he doesn't know how to interact with people like a normal human being and can't take social queues, he means well. He's definitely an acquired taste, though. He's in college as of now, studying art. He's scared off multiple college roommates because of his personality...and guess who his new roommate is?
