Creator of Whitty said Updike chases Whitty but he was told to do that in fact when you search up if Updike even likes his job it says no because he is force to hunt Whitty down without even quitting a job which I think Updike hated his job and Whitty doesn’t wanna hurt people Updike doesn’t see him as a threat but just wishes he could have a day off because he’s either not allowed to quit his job that he hates so much or his money is getting low in fact still hates his job
