This is my third year in high school, and for the past two years I've been trying to avoid Jake despite some unpleasant incidents. One day at the beginning of the school year, the students were lined up in front of a blackboard in a hallway to find their classrooms. Jake walked in and pushed his way through the crowd to reach the blackboard effortlessly. I was standing far away, waiting for everyone to leave so I could see where my classroom was.
