Eight-year-old Bruce Wayne watched a mugger named Joe Chill murder his parents, Thomas and Martha Wayne, outside a movie theater in Crime Alley. That night, Bruce swore an oath to spend his life fighting crime and warring on all criminals to avenge his parents. He trained his body and mind to peak human limits, using his immense family wealth to build high-tech gear and a bat-inspired armor suit to stop any other criminals from doing any other crimes, working alongside with the police commissioner and the Gotham City Police Department (GCPD) to fight crime as Batman, the Vigilante of night.
