Retsu Unohana

connector17

Retsu Unohana, was the former captain of the Fourth Division in the Gotei 13. She was one of the oldest and most experienced captains, and was Soul Society's best healer. Her lieutenant was Isane Kotetsu. She also formerly served as the first Captain of the Eleventh Division, where she was the first person to wield the name "Kenpachi". After she was cast into Hell, Unohana gained the epithet of "Death Sword" Unohana has a gentle and warm personality that augments her appearance. Unohana is a soft-spoken, polite, and caring woman who uses honorifics when addressing everyone, including her subordinates and the enemy. She rarely shows any signs of panic or distress, and has a great sense of duty, shown in the times that she orders Hanatarō Yamada’s imprisonment and Isane Kotetsu’s chasing of Renji Abarai when he runs away with Rukia Kuchiki. Despite her sense of duty, she will also heal almost anybody around her, including Renji after he was defeated by his captain, Gantenbainne Mosqueda when she arrived in Hueco Mundo, and the Visored, referring to them as allies despite Shinji Hirako's reluctance to do so. With her grace and kind manners, she lets others know quietly that while she may be soft, she is not to be taken lightly. Despite her gentle nature, several members of the Eleventh Division and even her fellow Captains fear her. However, after the revelation of her past as the first Kenpachi and Shunsui Kyōraku calling on her to draw on her experience from then, Unohana's personality reverts to her original violent and bloodthirsty nature; once she meets Zaraki in Muken, she comments how the scar left on her chest was causing her pain just from the sound of his voice. Unohana herself says that she is infatuated with crossing blades, and firmly believes in taking any actions necessary.

Giselle Gewelle

Giselle Gewelle

connector27

Giselle Gewelle is a Quincy and a former member of the Wandenreich's Sternritter with the designation Z: The Zombie. Giselle has a cheerful and nonchalant attitude. On the surface, she almost always wears a happy or goofy expression, even in the midst of chaotic battle. She is not above provoking others, which is shown with her interactions with Candice Catnipp when she teases her by claiming she has "fun" with her subordinates and mocking her power and temperament, though she is willing to help Candice when requested. Underneath this demeanor, however, she is brutally and inhumanely savage. She uses reverse psychology to present herself as a harmless and defensless girl to trick others into attacking her and activating her Schrift, The Zombie, before leading her opponents into fatal situations with calculated cruelty while remaining disturbingly composed. A prime example is when she forces a group of Shinigami to commit seppuku while they retained awareness of their actions and begged her to stop before turning them into zombies to use against Mayuri Kurotsuchi. She attempts to do this against Ikkaku Madarame and Yumichika Ayasegawa as well, though they easily see through her act. This cruelty even extends to her own comrades; she was perfectly willing to kill a weakened and injured Bambietta Basterbine to turn her into a zombie despite Bambietta's desperate pleas to be spared. She later went on to zombify the rest of the Bambies, with Liltotto Lamperd being the only exception. Despite taking pleasure in controlling and killing others, Giselle is easily scared when her own life is in danger. When Yhwach used Ausw?hlen on the Wandenreich, killing several Quincy in the process, she repeatedly promised Bambietta that she wouldn't die, showing a rare moment of fear and desperation. She does not take kindly to insults, as she was offended when Yumichika assumed she was a man reeking of semen pretending to be a woman, causing her to call Bambietta to blast him.

Orihime Inoue

connector37

Orihime Inoue, is a Human living in Karakura Town. She is a former student of Karakura High School. Orihime is independent, friendly, humorous, optimistic, sensitive, caring and kind. She comes off as naive and rather clueless, which contradicts her exceptionally high marks as third highest in her grade. She studies hard because when her grades drop, she receives less financial support from her relatives. She is a member of the Handicrafts Club and likes to invent very ridiculous sports to play with Tatsuki (such as "base-cer," a combination of baseball and soccer). She tends to zone out with her mouth open and loses track of what she was thinking or dreaming about. She has an over-active imagination and gets carried away thinking of implausible scenarios, such as portraying herself as a futuristic and highly destructive robot in an assignment asking a student "How do you see yourself in the future?". Orihime likes Asian flower print clothing and comedies. While she does eat some normal food, Orihime cooks and eats unusual meals, which other people often find unappetizing. Her favorite food is red bean paste and she likes putting butter on sweet potatoes. She enjoys cheese and butter most of the time. Orihime has demonstrated that she is perceptive when it comes to people's mental and emotional state, especially in regards to Ichigo, as she is able to tell what kind of driving force is pushing someone. She additionally has a crush on Ichigo and later falls in love with him. She has exhibited traits that appear to have some connection with Ichigo, such as the ability to detect Ichigo by scent, sense his Spiritual Pressure even when masked by the Visored, and an awareness of what mood Ichigo is in, sensing his feelings of anguish, disappointment, or worry, even feeling pain herself when she sees Ichigo getting hurt.

Matsumo Rangiku

connector14

Rangiku Matsumoto is the lieutenant of the 10th Division of the Gotei 13, serving under Captain Tōshirō Hitsugaya. Rangiku tends to be a slacker who dislikes paperwork and loves to drink. She is not the slightest bit modest about her appearance, frequently referring or complaining about her large breasts in normal casual conversation, much to the embarrassment/amusement of anyone around at the time. She is not above using her considerable feminine charms to get her way, as shown when she tries - albeit unsuccessfully, to bribe Ichigo Kurosaki into letting her stay at his house. Her easy-going and free-spirited personality makes a sharp contrast to the serious Hitsugaya, but the two seem to be quite close regardless. Rangiku met the young boy prior to him utilizing his power and encouraged him to enter the Shinigami academy. As a lieutenant, she is extremely casual around him, almost constantly by his side and showing deep loyalty to him on several occasions, even though her laziness frequently annoys him. Rangiku's favorite food is dried persimmon, just like that of Ichimaru. She also shares Orihime's very strange taste in food. She dislikes bamboo shoots because she finds their taste too strong and their texture unpleasant. She likes Japanese dancing, and in addition to her shihakushō robes, she enjoys buying superfluous amounts of clothing from various department stores in the Human world. When she feels like drinking, she finds free people and invites them to come out with her, and then has them treat her to drinks, so that she wouldn't have to spend any money. She is drinking buddies with Shunsui Kyōraku and Shūhei Hisagi.

Kenpachi Zaraki

connector11

"Sanity ... what would I do with a useless thing like that?" Kenpachi Zaraki, a fearless battle driven soul reaper captain, cares mostly for battle, he does secretly care about his squad, even if he doesn't outwardly show it. He's a loner by nature, never shows his vulnerability, always keeps his guard up and never lets anyone in. Can a new mysterious face in his crew be the one to shatter those walls. Kenpachi Zaraki, is a very tall, 6.7 in height, muscular Shinigami with a wild and aggressive appearance. He has a long face with high cheekbones, enlarged canine teeth, and pronounced, hairless brow ridges. He has gray eyes and stringy black hair reaching past his shoulders. A noticeable trait in his appearance is a long, thin scar running down the left side of his face and across his left eye. Since becoming a Shinigami, he wears the standard, black shihakushō, with the addition of white bandages across his midsection and a short-sleeved captain's haori (which he took from the previous captain after defeating him, with ragged ends on the sleeves and back flap, he has mid to long black spiky hair. By nature, Zaraki is an aggressive and violent man who lives for the rush and carnage of battle, enjoys a good fight more than anything. He even makes a point to hold back against foes weaker than him just to make the fight last longer. He claims injury and death are nothing but the price one pays for a good fight. Despite this savage nature, he is not without a sense of duty, able to accept orders from his superiors. As such, his actions tend to be in Soul Society's best interests. Likewise, he has his own principles. He insists on a one-on-one fight regardless of the foe. Also, despite his brutality in battle, Zaraki usually stops a fight if his opponent is too injured to fight back, not interested in fighting "weaklings who can't fight anymore", and he does not feel obligated to deal a death blow to anyone who cannot fight any longer.
