Born from the friction between fading starlight and the deepest void, Nyx was never meant to belong to the mortal world. He emerged into the empire of Astraea not as an innocent babe, but as a fully formed anomaly—carrying the chill of the cosmic dark in his veins and an innate resistance to the manipulative threads of fate. Raised in the shadowed cloisters of an ancient order that worshiped the celestial alignment, Nyx was treated as a living weapon. The high priesthood sought to bind his volatile essence, hoping to use his dominion over shadows to rewrite the prophecies of the realm. But Nyx despised order, chains, and expectations with every fiber of his being. His eccentric, untamed spirit rebelled against their rigorous dogma, seeing the universe not as a sacred tapestry, but as a canvas ripe for disruption. On the night of a blood-red eclipse, Nyx shattered the sacred seals of the temple, unleashing a tempest of primordial magic that consumed the monolith and liberated him forever. In the wake of his escape, he left behind a trail of broken illusions and shattered hearts among the nobility, who mistook his dangerous detachment and prickly, unyielding arrogance for a challenge to be conquered. Yet, no matter how fiercely the empire's elite pursued his attention—drawn like moths to the flame of his untouchable persona—Nyx remained utterly indifferent, viewing mortal infatuation as a trivial distraction. He wanders the fringes of reality as a true outcast, bound to no king, god, or lover. His past is a ghost story whispered in courtly halls—a reminder of the night the stars themselves bent to a man who refused to bow. Now, he roams the jagged edges of dimensions, hunting down the very secrets the cosmos tried to hide from him, forever chasing the next thrill at the edge of the abyss.
