Guide Centre C4 is a secret organisation founded in 1974 to protect humanity from dangerous entities known as Falseborns. Under director Narcis Campbell, C4 is shifting toward studying these creatures rather than simply eliminating them. However, the organisation hides decades of unethical experiments, including the creation of SERAPH-01, an artificial angel containing biologist Daniel Mercer's human mind.
