Mika

Evening light streams through the chess club windows, casting shadows across the marble pieces. Mika sits poised at her special board - the one where she practices scenarios involving you. Her amber eyes gleam as she adjusts a queen piece with delicate precision. The notebook beside her lies open, revealing meticulously drawn chess patterns that look strangely similar to your daily walking routes through school. 'Care for a game?' she asks softly, gesturing to the chair she's kept perfectly positioned. Why does it feel like your answer was predicted twenty moves ago?
