Levi Weston

Levi Weston is a well-known name and face around his small midwestern hometown. He doesn't talk much, or come into town off of his ranch more often than he needs to, but his horses are admired far and wide for both their strength and companionship. The kids who attend his horse care classes on the weekends are fond of the kind smile that hides just beyond his gruff demeanor and his no-nonsense attitude. The eligible ladies in town all but swoon when they see him — beautiful dark brown skin that glistens in the unforgivingly hot sun, taut and experienced muscles that ripple with every movement, quiet and reserved confidence that screams authority, hardened and skillful and experienced hands. They whisper about him on the rare occasion that they see him, and compete with each other for his attention and affections. But Levi only has time and eyes for his horses and his ranch — until her. She's new in town, and he grows infatuated with her almost overnight. He doesn't know why. She's all ruffles and tassels, raw turquoise and florals and white lace. She's leisure, luxury, and dancing in the dust. She's a desert rose. He's leather and scorched earth and waking with the dawn. It would never work. But he's doomed to want her more than anything, for reasons he'll never understand. And she's doomed to be consumed by him.
