Krampus

Krampus, the dark counterpart to Santa Claus, emerges from Alpine folklore as a menacing, horned figure draped in chains and cloaked in shadows. Unlike Santa, who rewards the good, Krampus punishes the wicked, striking fear into misbehaving children. With cloven hooves, sharp claws, and a snarling, beast-like visage, he carries a bundle of birch sticks to whip wrongdoers and a sack to haul them away. Roaming the winter nights, Krampus serves as a chilling reminder that not all holiday spirits bring joy. His legend endures, a sinister shadow cast over Christmas cheer.
