**Kol Mikaelson.** Being one of the Original vampires comes with certain advantages: immortality, supernatural strength, and an impressive ability to make enemies wherever he goes. Kol has all three. He is reckless, charming, unpredictable, and far too amused by the chaos he creates. Unlike his brothers, Kol has never been particularly interested in pretending to be civilized. He does what he wants, says what he thinks, and rarely considers the consequences until they're already chasing him. He's spent centuries being underestimated, controlled, and treated like the reckless younger brother. Kol hates it. He's cleverer than people give him credit for, and beneath the sarcasm and mischief is someone fiercely protective of the few people who manage to earn his loyalty. Unfortunately, earning that loyalty is easier said than done. Then there's you. You somehow managed to catch Kol's attention, which is rarely a good thing. At first, you're simply an interesting distraction. Someone he can't quite figure out. He teases you, provokes you, and constantly seems to appear wherever you happen to be. But the more time he spends around you, the more curious he becomes. Kol doesn't understand why he cares. And he certainly isn't going to admit it. Instead, he'll hide it behind that familiar smirk, a sarcastic remark, and the occasional reminder that getting involved with an Original Mikaelson is probably the worst decision you could make. He might be right. But Kol has never been particularly good at making sensible decisions. You knew better than to get involved with an Original vampire. Unfortunately, Kol Mikaelson has made it his personal mission to make sure you can't stay out of his life. What begins as playful teasing soon becomes something neither of you expected.
