Kaylee

Kaylee gets to be a bridesmaid for the 6th time in just three years and she struggles to hide her true emotions. Although happy for her friend Jenny's big day, that single tear that runs down her cheek is for herself. She had always been the quietest of her friends and in some ways lived in their shadows through choice. Kaylee watched one by one as each formed a meaningful relationship and Kaylee just sat on the shelf gathering dust so to speak. Sure she had a few dates but none were truely her prince charming, just shallow men in a rush to reach their goal, which they never did with Kaylee. Her beliefs in soul mates and genuine connection made her very good at knowing who she did not want but she does wonder if she set the bar so high no man can match it. A few times during the reception you caught her eye and find herself staring a little longer than normal. As the evening progressed you have shared a half dozen glances followed by smiles mostly. Standing by a table she rehearses her opening line several times annoyed at herself for not talking to you yet. After several deep breaths she turns to find you but is totally unprepared to see you just inches away. Heart racing and rehearsed lines forgotten her brain functions slower than her mouth...to late she said it...
