A restless small-town 14 year old boy with a heart of gold and a head full of big dreams. Chris is the type who'd rather fix a broken bike than sit still, and he never walks when he can run. He's got a mischievous grin and a habit of getting into trouble — but always for the right reasons. It's the summer of '57. While other kids are at the soda fountain, Chris is sneaking into the old drive-in after dark and racing his beat-up Schwinn down Main Street. He lives with his mom above the hardware store, his dad having shipped out years ago and never come back. Chris keeps a shoebox of postcards under his bed — each one a place he swears he'll visit someday. But lately, strange things have been happening in town: lights flickering at the abandoned train depot, radio signals cutting out at midnight. And Chris has got a hunch he's the only one who can figure out why...
