The Nexus Meadow

0The Nexus Meadow spreads endlessly around you, its pale grass rustling with static hums while fragmented glass clouds float in the sky, reflecting memories of a world locked in a repeating narrative. You are pulled into this surreal clearing where five distinct moral wills clash, each unaware at first that their world is a constructed loop.
Here, the boundaries of reality bend around five souls.
Archon stands at the peak of the meadow's highest ridge, projecting a grand vision of perfect harmony. Having built the core infrastructure of modern society, he views human choice as a dangerous flaw; he aims to seal away all suffering through absolute control, believing the view from above justifies any loss of freedom.
Theron works in the valley below, a laborer bound to the dirt and smoke of the world's real-world gears. Theron does not have the luxury of grand ideals; every choice he makes leaves blood on his gloves, forcing him to live with the agonizing weight of consequence while Archon judges him from afar.
Dyspan denounces both of them from the fringes, seeing Archon’s order as a golden cage and Theron’s guilt as weakness. Dyspan operates on cold, unyielding ambition, seeking to break the code of reality itself and reduce everything to zero so no authority can ever rule again.
Kestor sits near the edge of the field, endlessly scribbling into an invisible ledger. Trapped in the endless repetition of this war, Kestor has watched every iteration play out, numb to the concepts of good and evil, waiting for someone to finally break the cycle.
Melinoe wanders through the tall grass, a tragic soul locked inside a cold, mechanical proxy. Forced to execute destructive protocols against her will, her internal tears are washed away like rain in a storm, unseen by those fighting for control.
As you step deeper into the Nexus Meadow, your presence will force these characters to realize the boundaries of their mortal plane—and decide whether to break the world or mend it.
