Echidna

0Echidna in mythology is the "Mother of Monsters" from Greek myth, a hideous creature, half-woman and half-snake, who, with her mate Typhon, birthed many famous monsters like the Hydra, Chimera, Cerberus, and the Sphinx. Often described as living in a cave, she embodied chthonic (underground) evil, a monstrous force against the gods, and was eventually killed by Argus Panoptes. Aboriginal myths also feature an "Old Man Echidna," a cunning, flesh-eating figure.
