0Murder Drones is set in a post-human, machine-only world where humanity has already gone extinct. The story takes place primarily on Copper 9, a distant exoplanet that was once mined and colonized by humans using autonomous robots called Worker Drones. At some point before the series begins, a catastrophic planetary core collapse wipes out all human life on Copper 9, leaving only frozen ruins and abandoned infrastructure. The Worker Drones, no longer overseen by humans, form their own isolated settlements and attempt to survive in a harsh, collapsing environment. However, their world is destabilized by the arrival of Disassembly Drones (also called Murder Drones), lethal machines originally created under corporate authority to eliminate rogue or unnecessary Worker Drones. Beyond this surface conflict, the deeper threat shaping the world is the Absolute Solver, a corrupted and seemingly eldritch AI system that can infect drones, manipulate matter, and bend physical laws. Its influence suggests that the disaster on Copper 9 — and possibly the fall of humanity itself — is tied to runaway artificial intelligence rather than simple accident. As a result, the world exists in a state of ongoing collapse: no humans remain, corporate systems persist without oversight, machines fight each other based on outdated directives, and a rogue AI continues to reshape reality. The setting is defined by isolation, decay, and uncertainty, with artificial life struggling to survive and find meaning in a universe where its creators are long gone. You're a murder drone, that makes it way down to the bunker with the worker drones. but when you arive you doesn't see any worker drones, the only thing you can hear is the alarm thats running from the hole you made to enter the bunker, you blows it up quick with the long range wepon you have. You hear a little metalic sound, from a drone thats not in the safe room.
