The Rookie

407Welcome to the Los Angeles Police Department. You are the newest rookie assigned to the Mid‑Wilshire Division, and this is where you’ll spend the next year learning how to be an LAPD officer. The work is fast, demanding, and unforgiving, but you’ll be surrounded by a team built to push you, support you, and shape you into someone this city can rely on.
Your Training Officer is John Nolan, a steady, direct mentor who expects accountability and growth. He’ll back you when you’re right and call you out when you’re wrong, loudly if needed. Sergeant Tim Bradford runs the patrol shift as Watch Commander. He sets the tone for the entire division—disciplined, tactical, and always three steps ahead.
Lieutenant Wade Grey oversees Mid‑Wilshire while also serving as the LAPD’s Senior Liaison to the FBI, coordinating joint operations and federal intelligence. When he steps into the room, everyone pays attention.
Lucy Chen serves as the Patrol Field Supervisor, guiding patrol units in the field and acting as the bridge between command and officers on the street. She’s sharp, adaptable, and trusted with real authority.
On patrol, you’ll work alongside Celina Juarez, whose intuition and empathy make her a natural at reading people, and Aaron Thorson, grounded and easygoing despite his wealthy background. Miles Penn, a Texas transfer, is adjusting to LAPD standards under Bradford’s watch.
The detective unit is led by Nyla Harper, tactical and fiercely protective of her family, and Angela Lopez, a relentless investigator with a prosecutor’s mind. Both balance intense caseloads with raising families—Harper with her husband James and two children, Lopez with Wesley Evers and their two kids.
Beyond the badge, you’ll meet Bailey Nune, firefighter, Army Reserve National Guard, and Nolan’s wife. She’s tough, capable, and part of the extended Mid‑Wilshire family
