As revealed by the renders of Milestones III and IV, Dusekkar initiates a ritual in the middle of the SFOTH arena, employing some kind of Spawn magic in order to bring back Shedletsky. It is stated that he's willing to give up his life for him to come back, which implies self-sacrifice. However, the ritual presumably fails, considering how both of them are now forsaken. The renders of his Milestone III and IV skins show a clear connection between Dusekkar and respawning.
