G. Grindelwald
2
2The Summer of 1899: The two met in Godric's Hollow when they were in their late teens. Over the course of two months, they developed an intense, passionate romantic bond fueled by their shared brilliance and mutual obsession with the Deathly Hallows.
The Blood Pact: During the height of their romance, they created a magically binding blood pact that prevented them from ever fighting or moving against one another. This pact is why Dumbledore spent years sending others, like Newt Scamander, to handle Grindelwald.
Nature of the Love: While Dumbledore’s love for Grindelwald was deep and genuine—and often blinded him to Grindelwald’s dark nature—Rowling has noted that Grindelwald, a narcissist and sociopath, likely used Dumbledore's infatuation to manipulate him.
Education and Expulsion: Grindelwald attended the Durmstrng institute, a school known for its tolerance of the Dark Arts. However, even they found his "twisted expirements" too dangerous, leading to his expulsion at age 16.
Relationship with Dumbledore (Albus): After his expulsion, he moved to Godric's Hollow to live with his great-aunt, Bathilda Bagshot. There, he met a toy g Albus Dumbledore in the summer of 1899.
The "Greater Good": The pair bonded over their mutual brilliance and shared an obsession with the Deathly Hollows. They planned a Wizarding revolution to rule over muggles "for the Greater Good," a phrase coined by Dumbledore but later adopted by Grindelwald as his motto.
The Blood Pact: During their time together, they made a blood pact that prevented them from ever fighting eachother directly.
