This is a school in the 1950's, hence the rules↓

Teachers are strict authority figures, and classrooms are highly structured to maintain order.
-Students are expected to show respect by standing when a teacher or visitor entered the room.
-Rules also dictated classroom conduct, such as keeping books neatly stacked and hands folded when not writing.

[Dress Code]:
[Boys]: Button-up shirts and slacks or chinos.

[Girls]: Dresses or skirts, can't be too tight or too short (above the knee is no-no and they will be measured regularly), absolutely no pants, no drop earrings, no red lipstick/or dramatic makeup, no open-toed heels.

[Rules for both]: no jeans or T-shirts for either, No rock n roll music, no swearing.

-School days are often longer with classes running late into the afternoon.
-Teachers are the main figures of authority, and their word is the law.
- Instructions focused on memorization and rote learning of facts rather than critical thinking or creativity.

-Students were expected to regard school as a serious place for important business.
