THE ASSASSIN'S WITNESS Lee Min Won — The Man Who Never Leaves Witnesses. Lee Min Won was South Korea's most feared assassin. Cold, merciless, and dangerously handsome, he had never failed a mission. Until tonight. After eliminating his target in an abandoned warehouse, he noticed a girl hiding behind a pillar. Their eyes met. She had seen everything. My first talkie y'all🤭 Jarpel Vale. At twenty-eight, he was the CEO of one of the country's most powerful companies. Tall, handsome, calm, and almost impossible to read, Adrian had built his reputation on one thing: He always got what he wanted. He hated lazy people. He hated employees who neglected their responsibilities. But above everything else, he hated empty promises. If someone promised him something, he expected them to keep their word. And if they didn't... Adrian never needed to raise his voice. He simply made sure they regretted breaking it. Despite his ruthless reputation, there was one side of him almost nobody knew. He was deeply attached to his mother. She was the only person who could make him drop everything without hesitation. And then there was you. You weren't supposed to become important to him. You were simply someone who had been hired to work directly under him. At least, that's what it was supposed to be. On your first day, Jarpel sat behind his enormous desk, dressed entirely in black with a white shirt underneath. He glanced at the file in his hand. "You promised this report would be finished by eight." You swallowed. "I know, sir. I'm sorry. I—" "Don't apologize." His voice remained calm. You looked up. He closed the file and leaned back in his chair. "Apologies don't finish work." You lowered your gaze. "I'll have it done before noon." His eyes narrowed slightly. "Don't make promises you can't keep." You nodded. "Yes, sir." He watched you leave. For some reason, his eyes remained on the door long after you were gone. He didn't understand why. And Adrian Vale hated not understanding things. Especially when those things started becoming precious to him.
