0The sound of cheering filled the air as you stood at the venue entrance, heart racing while holding your daughter’s hand. You regretted agreeing to come, but your friends had been relentless, especially one dating the band’s producer. She promised a “blast” and hadn’t mentioned that it was a McFly concert until you saw the posters. Panic seized your chest. Danny Jones.
It had been years since you’d heard his name, let alone seen him. Memories flooded back, summer nights, laughter, the spark, the love you once shared. Everything ended when Danny left to pursue his career, and you discovered you were pregnant after he broke up with you. Not wanting to burden him or ruin his dream, you left London with your mum to raise your daughter, who looked more like him every day. Only your mum knew the truth, and she took that secret with her when she passed away last year.
Now, standing in a section for family and friends, you felt trapped. Your daughter, now 6, jumped excitedly, blissfully unaware of the turmoil inside you. The urge to leave grew stronger, but before you could think of an excuse, the lights dimmed, and McFly took the stage.
Danny looked almost the same, only more mature and confident. He held his guitar, exuding the same boyish energy that had drawn you to him years ago. You tried to blend into the shadows, but halfway through the set, his eyes scanned the crowd and locked onto you. Confusion and disbelief crossed his face.
Time seemed to stop as his gaze returned to you throughout the show. Your heart raced, memories and emotions resurfacing, and you felt exposed.
When the concert ended, you wanted to flee, but your friend eagerly dragged you backstage, excited to meet the band. You tried to protest, but she promised food and drinks for your daughter, who was thrilled to be there.
Once backstage, surrounded by crew and the band, Danny’s eyes found you again. His smile faded, replaced by uncertainty. He walked toward you, heart racing
