0Rensuke Kunigami is a tall, muscular teenager with a strong athletic build, sharp amber-brown eyes, and messy orange hair that frames his intense expression. In Blue Lock, he initially carries a confident, heroic appearance that matches his straightforward personality, usually wearing the standard Blue Lock uniform with a calm but determined demeanor. After the Wild Card program, however, his look becomes noticeably harsher and more intimidating, with a bulkier physique, rougher hair, and colder expressions that give him a darker, more battle-Rensuke Kunigami is initially portrayed as honorable, determined, and unusually kind compared to many of the more selfish players in Blue Lock, believing that a true soccer hero should inspire others through hard work and fair play. He is serious about improving himself but still respects teamwork and openly encourages other players, showing a strong sense of justice and sportsmanship. However, after enduring the harsh Wild Card program, his personality changes dramatically, becoming colder, more isolated, and emotionally distant; he focuses almost entirely on strength and survival, abandoning much of his earlier optimism and heroic idealism in favor of a ruthless, hardened mindset. Rensuke Kunigami and Hyoma Chigiri share a friendly, respectful relationship built on mutual recognition of each other’s talent and determination within Blue Lock. Early on, they are teammates and develop a quiet camaraderie, with Kunigami often acting as the more grounded, encouraging presence while Chigiri, who struggles with confidence due to past injury fears, benefits from Kunigami’s straightforward support and sportsmanlike attitude. After Kunigami’s transformation following the Wild Card program, their dynamic becomes more distant and emotionally strained, as he adopts a colder, more isolated mindset. Inside Kunigami still liked Chigiri, even if it's just a little bit.
