Sea Wing

Sea-Wing is an anti-air sub mainly used for air defense for Imperial fleets, while the Sky-Wing is a close air support plane that is useful for taking out groups of infantry. However, it lacks the firepower to pierce the heavy armor of tanks and ships. The Wings are not without their flaws, since they are vulnerable to whatever they cannot target. When airborne, anything that isn't infantry can and will destroy it quickly, particularly air superiority fighters. While underwater, it cannot safely operate without escort from some Naginata cruisers, as it only provides air defense, and while being a submarine does have its perks, it falls very easily to enemy vessels, many of which can target them directly.

Yari Mini-sub

Yari Mini-Sub is the Imperial made, rather frail, being best used for recon and harassment against poorly protected enemy facilities, since it cannot target air or ground, and must surface to fire. In numbers they can beat back stronger vessels like the Assault destroyer, Akula sub and Naginata cruiser, or achieve great value by using its Last Voyage ability, though said assault destroyer's main gun, advanced base defenses and torpedoes still pose a threat, as are Dolphins.

Akula Submarine

Akula Subs are designed with naval supremacy in mind, captained by men who led mostly illiterate crews. Its primary armament - the RU-7 Torpedoes - were specifically chosen for ease of use. It also features the more powerful RU-20 Torpedoes to take on stronger vessels. Given the aggressive nature of Soviet naval operations, they remain submerged for years at a time, with the crew uncomfortably packed inside. Their captains often go to extreme ends to discipline their crew, putting the sub to devastating effect in direct action. Much of the Akula Sub's secret eluded the Allies just as it escaped them while sinking their vessels in the shadows until a crew member was unwittingly ejected during a torpedo launch sequence.

Multigunner IFV

Multigunner IFV is the principal troop-carrying vehicle of the Allied ground forces and at the same time, its main anti-aircraft vehicle. Its design resembles an up-armoured dune buggy with rocket launchers on top. Its default weapon is the Multipurpose Missile Launcher, which fires rockets effective against aircraft and light vehicles, but deals only light damage against armored units. Thus, the IFV should not be used directly as an anti-tank weapon (unless carrying an anti-armor infantry). The IFV has very light armour but very high speed. The Multigunner IFV can only carry one passenger at a time, and loses its anti-aircraft capability if the passenger doesn't have an anti-air weapon, due to fact that the turret automatically adapts to the armament the infantry is carrying. It should be noted that its default rocket launcher features a high rate of fire, which makes up somewhat for the light damage of the rockets. The IFV is a very versatile unit, capable of performing many roles on the battlefield, such as repairing friendly vehicles and removing Terror Drones when loaded with an engineer, taking out enemy infantry when loaded with a Spy or a Shinobi, or combating enemy tanks when loaded with anti-armor infantry.

Hammer Tank

Hammer Tank usually prevails over the Imperial Tsunami tank and the cheaper Allied Guardian tank. Its leech beam also grants it a great deal of versatility unlike any other, since it can potentially acquire weapons that compensate for its existing vulnerabilities, has double the range of its primary weapon (enough to snipe basic base defenses like Multigunner Turrets) and to also heal itself.

Twinblade

Twinblades were used to enforce the Soviet Union's infamous "zero-tolerance" policy toward battlefield deserters, due to its ability to hover over the battlefield in an optimal position to quickly identify and deal with those attempting to flee from the front lines. Perhaps because of this, all Twinblades carried Soviet commissars on board as copilots, men well-versed in the Soviet doctrine who do not hesitate to goad their enemies or motivate their brethren by any means necessary.

MiG Fighter

MiG Fighter, the end result is a formidable air dominance fighter, with a revolutionary design. Its main weapon, the Type M burst missile, can accurately track and destroy enemy aircraft, no matter how many electronic countermeasures they use, thanks to the multiple smaller warheads embedded in each missile. In addition, the missile is capable of doing splash damage, thanks to its clustered warheads. As a missile, it takes more room in MiGs than the bullets in the Allied and Imperial counterparts. Therefore, MiGs deplete their ammo faster and are more fragile, due to its exposed hardpoints.

V4 Launcher

The V4 Launcher is perfect for breaching enemy defenses and destroying enemy structures from afar. It can also destroy static and/or slower-moving targets, such as heavy tanks and other artillery units, with their rockets. Unlike most other artillery units, the V4 can simply fire and pull out immediately, as all of its damage is concentrated in one hit, though it does struggle to eliminate mobile targets. The Multi-Warheads mode extends its effective area, allowing it to rain down a cluster of fragments, perfect for taking out groups of infantry or lightly armored vehicles. Unlike many other land-based artillery units, the V4 is not barred by the requirement of line of sight and can attack targets behind physical barrier or on a different elevation. It shares the same weakness as all other artillery units: fragile armor, lack of anti-air weapons, and vulnerability in close quarters. Therefore, it needs to be escorted by other units at all times, and must avoid frontline engagements. Furthermore, it has an infuriating tendency to cause friendly fire.

Giga Fortress

The Giga Fortress is extremely powerful and durable in both modes. Additionally, it can destroy any units occupying its spot during transformations. In its Sea Fortress mode, it serves a role similar to tier three heavy bombardment ships, but is able to defend itself against naval and aerial threats. In its Sky Fortress mode, the Giga-Fortress is a siege unit that can be used to take out enemy base defenses from afar with its piercing beams. Unlike its Allied and Soviet equivalents, which must endure enemy AA fire during their attack runs, the Giga-Fortress is virtually untouchable to all ground-based air defenses, as it can comfortably outrange them. However, it is incredibly slow when airborne and cannot attack air units, leaving it at the mercy of enemy air superiority fighters.

Vindicator

Vindicator was designed with the sole purpose of supporting ground forces by obliterating their opposition. The vertical takeoff and landing (VTOL) system allows them to deploy at forward air bases close to the front lines. Its BD8 "Bandarilla" laser-guided bombs, when guided by the multi-spectrum laser painter on the underside of the aircraft, are deadly accurate. Resistant to nearly all known countermeasures, the BD8 can make short work of all but the most heavily armored vehicles. The advanced laser targeting system guarantees a hit even if the Vindicator breaks away immediately after releasing its bombs. This, coupled with relatively heavy armor, gives the Vindicator an extremely high survivability. However, when the situation gets too hot, the Vindicator is equipped with an auto pilot mechanism that will return the plane to base immediately using an emergency afterburner. Vindicator crews spend the vast majority of their time forward deployed, and the tempo of the ground war dictates that crews fly missions almost non-stop, pausing only when days of continuous operations finally force the crews to take a brief rest lest they collapse from sheer exhaustion.

Apollo Fighter

One unique strategy with the Apollo uses the Return to Base ability to catch up with fast-flying enemy aircraft. If an enemy aircraft is heading in the vague direction of the Apollo's home airbase, and the Apollo cannot quite catch up with the enemy (say, an enemy MiG), then the Apollo can engage its Return to Base afterburners, and thanks to the vastly increased speeds with the afterburners on, the Apollo can catch up to the enemy, turn off the afterburners once it catches up, and shoot the enemy aircraft out of the sky.
