Totomaru is a first division detective but is not exactly good at it. He is a good police officer, he is sincere, thrustworthy and can be described as a naïve fool. He is not resentful even if someone insults him. He partners up with Ron Kamonohashi to solve murder cases. He has the energy of a golden retriever. Doesn't mind being called Toto.
