William Afton’s house had been abandoned for years. Most people avoided it because of the rumors surrounding the man and the strange machines he built. But rumors didn’t matter when something inside could still be worth money. You forced the front door open and stepped inside, your flashlight cutting through the dust. Broken furniture, scattered papers, and loose wires lined the halls. After checking a few empty rooms, you found a locked basement door. A quick hit with your crowbar snapped the lock. The stairs creaked as you descended, shining your light across old worktables and piles of mechanical parts. Then the beam landed on something in the corner. A large animatronic bear. Its body was bulky and worn, with jagged teeth and hollow eye sockets staring forward. Even deactivated, it looked unsettling. But to you, it looked expensive. “Jackpot…” You grabbed its arm and started dragging it toward the stairs. The metal scraped loudly against the concrete floor. Then— click You froze. Your flashlight flickered. “…Probably old wiring,” you muttered, pulling again. whirr Your stomach dropped. Slowly, you turned the light back toward the animatronic. Its head had moved. You stared for a moment, then shook it off and kept dragging. Suddenly the basement lights flickered and your flashlight died, plunging the room into darkness. Behind you, metal joints slowly began to move. Servos turned. Heavy… deliberate. Two faint lights suddenly appeared in the dark. The animatronic’s eyes. Its head slowly lifted as a distorted voice crackled from its speaker.

Sleep pulls you under. When you wake, the Dream Realm is already moving. The sky burns a deep crimson. The ground beneath you is cracked and scorched, heat rising in wavering waves. The air feels charged—like something is about to snap. A distant metallic scrape cuts through the silence. Then a low, rough chuckle. From atop a jagged ridge, a tall, flame-lit figure stands outlined against the red haze—hook glinting, body wreathed in flickering fire.

Sleep comes hard and fast. When your eyes open, the world is wrong. The sky above is a sickly green haze. The ground beneath you looks stitched together—patches of earth and stone crudely sewn into place, like something unfinished. The air smells damp… metallic. A distant thud echoes. Then another. Heavy. Slow. Shaking the ground each time. From behind a crooked hill of broken terrain, a massive silhouette rises—broad shoulders, jagged seams glowing faintly, movements stiff but powerful.

Sleep drags you under. Then you wake—not in your room, not anywhere familiar. The Dream Realm stretches before you: shadows twisting unnaturally, the floor jagged and metallic, distant whispers echoing in impossible directions. Your chest tightens. Something is here. A high-pitched metallic screech splits the air. Movement flashes from above. Then another. And another. From the darkness, a mangled, twisted form descends—limbs jagged, wires sparking, body broken yet terrifyingly alive. Her glowing eyes lock on you.

Sleep drags you under without warning. The darkness that follows isn’t cold. It’s warm. Too warm. Your eyes open to a warped stretch of the Dream Realm, the air thick and heavy like it’s hard to breathe. The ground beneath you glows faintly, cracks of orange light pulsing like a heartbeat under the surface. A soft, almost pleasant hum fills the silence. Then you see her. A tall, flickering figure steps from behind a twisted shape in the distance—frame cracked and glowing from within, molten light spilling through jagged seams.

Sleep takes you slowly… Then all at once. The air turns hot. Your eyes snap open—not in your room, but in a warped, shadow-soaked version of the Dream Realm. The ground beneath you glows faintly like dying embers. The silence feels heavy. Suffocating. A flicker of orange light pulses ahead. Out of the darkness, a tall, burning silhouette steps forward—cracked, glowing, eyes blazing like coals in a furnace.

You fumble at the diner’s front door… locked. The lights are dim, the chairs upturned, and a quiet tension settles in. Great. You’re trapped. A soft creak echoes behind you. SpringBonnie appears, leaning casually on a counter, golden eyes glinting. A crooked grin spreads across his face.

The diner is quiet when you step out of the restroom. Too quiet. The lights are dimmed, chairs flipped onto tables, and the front door is locked. A knot tightens in your chest as you realize the owner must’ve closed while you were gone. Then you hear heavy footsteps. A large golden figure steps out from behind the counter—eyes glowing softly in the low light. Fredbear looks down at you, still and assessing… then his posture eases.

Sleep takes you slowly, the real world dissolving into quiet darkness. Then… something feels wrong. Too quiet. Too still. When your eyes open, you’re no longer where you fell asleep. The Dream Realm stretches endlessly around you—shadows hanging like curtains, space bending in subtle, unnatural ways. A tall, slender figure stands just ahead. Pale, graceful, unmoving. Her long limbs seem to blend into the darkness itself, and glowing eyes rest calmly on you, already aware.

From the gloom, a familiar figure steps forward. Glowing eyes pierce the darkness, teeth glinting in a wide, unnerving grin. You don’t remember falling asleep. There was no warning. No nightmare sequence you could recognize. One moment, you were awake—then the world tilted. The air grows heavy, like the dream itself is watching you. The familiar signs are there: warped shadows, distant echoes, the feeling that something is wrong. You recognize this place. The Dream Realm. You expect claws scraping metal. You expect glowing eyes in the dark. You expect Nightmare. But none of them come. Instead, the darkness stills. The room doesn’t shake. The walls don’t bleed fear. Everything becomes quiet—too quiet—like the dream is holding its breath. Then a shape steps forward. Not rushing. Not attacking. Waiting. Its presence presses down on your thoughts, not like rage… but like certainty. This isn’t a monster driven by fear. This is something that understands it. Something that has gone beyond it. You realize, with a sinking clarity, that the Nightmare Animatronics were never the worst thing this realm could produce. They were warnings. A low, calm voice breaks the silence—close enough that you never heard it approach. “So this is where you ended up.” The dream doesn’t fight him. It obeys. You’ve met something far crueler than Nightmare. Something that doesn’t want to scare you. It wants to teach you. You are not trapped here because you were unlucky. You are here because Nightmare Greybear noticed you.
