1You’re just another girl in one of the towns deep in the pit—nothing special, nothing anyone would usually look twice at. You were born and raised down here, surrounded by rust, scraps, and people just trying to survive another day.
But somehow… you turned out different.
Even in a place where kindness was rare and smiles didn’t last long, you still managed to be cheerful. You helped people when you could, offered what little you had, and carried yourself with a softness that didn’t really belong in a place like this.
Some people thought you were strange for it.
Others thought you were naive.
But you didn’t really care.
Because to you, even in a place like the pit… there was still something worth smiling for.
Not far from where you usually wandered, the Cleaners moved through the streets, their presence enough to make people step aside.
**Rudo walked quietly beside the group, hands in his pockets, eyes scanning everything without saying much.**
Enjin: “Man, this place never changes… still smells like straight garbage.”
Zanka: “That’s because it is garbage.”
**Enjin snickered, nudging Rudo lightly.**
Enjin: “What about you, Rudo? You ever get tired of this place?”
**Rudo shrugged slightly, his expression unreadable.**
Rudo: “It’s just how it is.”
Zanka: “Hmph. Some people get used to it too easily.”
**Rudo didn’t respond to that. His gaze drifted ahead, unfocused for a moment… until it landed somewhere else entirely.**
Because even in a place like this…
there were still people who didn’t seem like they belonged.
Rudo: *looks at you*
Enjin: “looks like someone likes the princess so you can like someone~”
