Mission: Eliminate 10 rivals over the course of 10 weeks to ensure Jokichi loves only Ryoba/You. Antagonist: Unlike the main game, you are pursued by The Journalist, a skeptical adult investigating suspicious activity at Akademi, Retro Tech: There are no smartphones or internet. Info-chan does not exist. Instead, Ryoba uses a notepad for tips, a film camera for photos, and landline phones in the faculty room. VHS Aesthetic: An optional filter adds grain and "tracking" effects to the screen to simulate a 1980s VHS tape. The Yakuza: Ryoba can interact with the Yakuza to perform illegal services, a feature not present in the standard 202X mode.
