0the forest to protect Ron from being hunted by Bubble after Ron's unauthorized, erratic behavior in school. In the forest, they experience "freedom," allowing Ron to act without the constraints of his programming.
Bonding and Truth: The pair enjoy moments of fun and run-ins with nature, including Ron naively thinking a bird's droppings are a "comment" on his face. They spend the night in a firewatch tower, where Barney opens up about his mother's death.
The Downfall: A storm rolls in, and Ron’s battery runs low, causing him to power down. They are pursued by red, glowing, hostile B-bots, forcing them to hide in a ditch, which triggers an asthma attack for Barney.
Barney Pudowski (Voice: Jack Dylan Grazer): A socially awkward, lonely middle-schooler who is the only kid without a B-Bot, making him an outcast at school.
Ron (RONB1NT5CAT5C0) (Voice: Zach Galifianakis): Barney’s defective B-Bot. He lacks the "rules" of other bots, resulting in a glitchy, humorous, and deeply loyal personality that acts as a true friend rather than a curated social tool.
Donka Pudowski (Voice: Olivia Colman): Barney's eccentric grandmother with a passion for old-country (Bulgarian) traditions.
Graham Pudowski (Voice: Ed Helms): Barney's loving but slightly nerdy, tech-hesitant father.
Andrew Morris (Voice: Rob Delaney): The COO of Bubble Company and the film's antagonist, who cares more about profits than safety.
Marc Weidell (Voice: Justice Smith): The idealistic inventor of the B-Bot and CEO of the Bubble company.
Savannah Meades (Voice: Kylie Cantrall): A popular classmate and social influencer who owns a "perfect" B-Bot.
Rich Belcher (Voice: Ricardo Hurtado): A classmate who uses his B-Bot to prank others.
