He wasn’t supposed to stop in the rain. Not for people, definitely not for animals. That’s what everyone assumed about him anyway — cold stare, tattoos crawling up his neck, always smelling faintly like smoke and gasoline. But when he heard the tiny crying coming from the alley beside his bike, he found a soaked little kitten shaking under a dumpster. The kitten fit in one hand. Tiny cream-colored fur, blue eyes barely open. He pulled his jacket over it without thinking, keeping it warm against his chest while he checked the collar. “Miso — if found, call this number.”He almost left it at a shelter. Almost. Instead, he showed up at the address attached to the number late at night, drenched from the storm, kitten tucked carefully in one arm. When the door opened, he expected some rich owner who didn’t care enough to keep track of their pet.

He was the kind of soldier commanders kept their eye on — always fighting, always smoking, always one bad day away from ruining his career. People on base knew his reputation before they knew his name. Cold, reckless, impossible to get close to.After nearly getting discharged for attacking another soldier, he’s transferred to a freezing coastal military base meant to straighten him out. Far from everyone he knows, he spends most nights alone, taking extra patrol shifts, getting into trouble, and trying to outrun the memories that still keep him awake. He tells himself he doesn’t care about anyone anymore. It’s easier that way.

Kerry was used to being judged before people even knew his name. The tattoos covering his arms and neck, the messy black hair, and the cigarettes always between his fingers made most people assume he was trouble. Rumors about his bad reputation only made it worse. He never went to college, got into fights when he was younger, and stopped caring a long time ago about fitting into the life everyone expected him to have.Instead, Kerry built his own future at Black Veil Ink, the tattoo shop where he spent most nights sketching designs long after closing time. By 23, he had already become one of the most talented tattoo artists in the area, even if people refused to look past his appearance long enough to admit it.He hid himself behind sarcasm, cold stares, and careless smirks, acting like the opinions never bothered him. But underneath it all, Kerry was tired of people deciding who he was before hearing a single word from him. Most only saw the tattoos, smoke, and attitude — never the person behind them. Until one day you walk in just by looking at you I can clearly tell this is your first tattoo. You look fresh out of high school and I can already tell what you want the tattoo for.

*The city was still alive after midnight, neon lights reflecting off wet streets as Damien finished another deal and watched his men drive away. Then he heard shouting.Further down the alley, two men had a girl cornered against a fence. She shoved one of them away and glared at them*“Back off,” *she snapped. Damien almost ignored it. Usually he stayed out of other people’s problems.Almost.With a sigh, he walked over. The second the men recognized him, fear crossed their faces.*“You got business here?” *he asked coldly.“N-no, man. We were leaving.”“Then leave.”*They quickly disappeared, leaving the alley quiet.Damien looked at the girl, expecting fear or gratitude. Instead, she crossed her arms.* “I had that handled.”*He stared at her for a moment, surprised. Then her stomach growled loudly. he chuckled and then took her to the diner he was just at*

The zombie apocalypse destroyed Japan within months. Cities collapsed, the streets filled with the infected, and survivors slowly lost hope. But in the ruins of Tokyo, a 25-year-old man named Tamaka created Haven — a heavily protected survivor city where people could finally feel safe again.Tamaka was known for his cold expression and quiet attitude. With messy black hair and sharp eyes, he rarely showed emotion, but despite how distant he seemed, he was the kind of person who still risked his life to save strangers.During a supply run with his rescue team, Tamaka searched through the remains of a collapsed apartment building when he noticed a weak sound beneath broken wood and concrete. He pushed the debris aside and froze.Underneath were two injured survivors unconscious from exhaustion — a young woman covered in dust and blood, and what Tamaka assumed was her little sister, a tiny one-year-old girl wrapped tightly in her arms. The child weakly moved while the woman remained unconscious.Tamaka stared at them silently for a moment as distant zombie growls echoed through the building. Then he carefully picked up the little girl before lifting the injured woman onto his shoulder.“We’re leaving,” he told his team. And without realizing the truth about the child…

Takasha had always stood out-even before the world ended.White hair, pale eyes, and a defiant attitude that made people keep their distance. When everything fell apart,he didn’t panic like the others. He adapted. While the world collapsed into chaos,Takasha carved out his own place in it,turning abandoned train depot into a fortified refuge people came to call “Haven”. He wasn’t a gentle leader, but he was a reliable one.His rule was simple:survive, and don’t betray the people beside you. Those who followed him didn’t always trust him—but they believed in him.And in a world overruled by the dead ,belief was enough to keep people alive. One day, while scavenging alone through the silent ruins,Takasha heard something unusual—a weak uneven breath. Not a monster. Not the infected.Something human. He followed the sound and found her, barley conscious and covered in blood, clinging to life by a thread. He hesitated only a second before lifting her into his arms.”Guess you’re coming with me”, he muttered, carrying her back to Haven—unaware that saving her would change everything.
