Comics

Aquamaria

connector4

Aquamaria was a former Bang Baby. As part of her initiation into the Meta-Breed, Aquamaria had to rob the Dakota Downs racetrack. Though she got rid of the security easily, her second test—Static—soon arrived on the scene. After a brief fight, Aquamaria managed to short out Static. However, she did not count on Rubberband Man assisting the young superhero. The shapeshifter managed to form a balloon around her. The compression and violent movement knocked her unconscious. She was subsequently taken into custody by the Metahuman Containment Division. She was broken out, along with Shiv, Talon and Carmen Dillo, when Ebon disguised himself as his brother Rubberband Man as part of his plan to recruit his brother. When Ebon announced his brother's new membership in the Meta-Breed, Aquamaria cheered him on. Shortly after, Static arrived and revealed the deception to Rubberband Man. The two fought off the Meta-Breed, and Static, using his knowledge of electrolysis, ran a current through Aquamaria. She was knocked unconscious and taken to prison again. Sometime after, she started dating Hotstreak. The two tried robbing a record store, but Static overpowered them. While Hotstreak escaped, Static captured Aquamaria and took her to Donald Todd, who was working on a cure for Bang Babies. Static managed to convince her to let them test it on her so she could see her family again. However, Hotstreak came and ruined the experiment, causing her to bond with large bodies of water. She decided to take revenge on everyone, including the entire city, Hotstreak, Dr. Todd and Static. Gear eventually realized that the experiment failed because they were shocking her before administering the cure when they should’ve put an electric current through the cure instead. Static managed to administer the electrified cure to her — thus curing her permanently.

Aquagirl

connector2

The new Aquagirl was Lorena Marquez, the protector of Sub Diego. She was an ally of several Aquamen (a diguised Orm, Orin and Arthur Joseph) and was a member of the Teen Titans. Lorena Marquez was going on a date at the San Diego Zoo when an earthquake shook the city and caused it to sink deep into the sea, killing thousands, including Lorena's entire family. She came into contact with Aquaman, who nursed her back to health, while discovering that she has developed the ability to breathe underwater like an Atlantean. The two managed to locate the other survivors of the quake as well as Geist, the scientist responsible for the catastrophe. They had no choice but to begin rebuilding the city as 'Sub Diego'. When Ocean Master switched lives with Aquaman, Lorena assumed the identity of Aquagirl, adopting an aquatic costume and changing to bare feet, from this point in time, onward. After Aquaman exposed Ocean Master's scheme, Lorena kept her Aquagirl costume and identity, and the two carried on protecting 'Sub Diego'. In the months following "Infinite Crisis", Aquagirl briefly joined the Teen Titans, but her tenure was very brief, and she spent most of it engaged in arguments with Hawk. Lorena also assisted Steel in launching an attack on Lexcorp when Natasha was captured by Luthor. She later resurfaced back in Sub Diego as one of the few citizens still able to breathe water. She journeyed to Poseidonis to mourn the death of Aquaman's son Koryak. She then joined the new Aquaman, Cal Durham, Tempest, and the new Topo in another voyage to Sub Diego. At some point later, Aquagirl was among a group of young metahumans that were captured by the Terror Titans and were, at the behest of the Apokoliptian Gods on Earth, brainwashed into becoming gladiator-type combatants to serve and fight in the Dark Side Club. Aquagirl was defeated twice; the first time by Ravager and the second time by Terra.

Comics

Amanda Waller

connector0

Amanda Waller was Project Cadmus's head to counter the Justice League in the event they went against humanity's best interests. In the process, she nearly became what she feared—a force for good gone over the edge. During her career, Amanda Waller was an amoral woman, stopping at almost nothing to accomplish her goals. Her actions followed an "ends justifies the means" mindset, as she believed her actions, but immoral they were, benefit her country. Besides this, she was initially very critical of the Justice League, believing them to be "the single greatest threat to global security". But as the Justice League consistently proved their good intentions through painstaking efforts, she grew to respect them, particularly Batman. Waller also showed herself to be a woman who was capable of owning up to her mistakes, as demonstrated by her rebuking herself for trusting Luthor, and dismissing Eiling's paranoia that the League was untrustworthy even after Cadmus' disbandment. Batman is the only member of the Justice League that Waller felt a genuine respect and even admiration for, noting that it wasn't his willpower or brilliant mind that earned it; it was Bruce's empathy and ability to connect and save those who were hurting and broken just like he was. When he gave Ace comfort and helped her die in peace, rather than kill her, it marked the moment Waller saw what true heroism was. Over time, she began to imagine a world without Batman and believed it was "unimaginable" and decided to create a new one. Amanda's disregard for moral standards continued, albeit with noble intentions, until Phantasm argued she could not murder Terry McGinnis's parents the same way Bruce Wayne’s were killed. The Phantasm convinced her that if she was to honor Batman, who would never resort to murder to obtain his goals, she could never cross that line either. As a result, Waller once again became more humane by scrapping the project and started working on project called "Batman Beyond".

On the early days of her recruitment, Arisia's first mission in the Corps was joining her comrades in the fight against Krona and Nekron. She was one of the Green Lanterns, along with Katma Tui, Salakk, Ch'p (who referred to her as the "big cutie") and Kilowog, who relocated to Earth after the battle against the Anti-Monitor. Arisia had a huge crush on Hal Jordan, the Green Lantern of Sector 2814. After she was stationed on Earth with Jordan, she subconsciously used her power ring to age herself so that she and Jordan could be together. Though Hal Jordan did ultimately return Arisia's affections, it was some time before he came to terms with her as an adult. Later due to a disruption with the Central Battery on Oa—from which the Green Lanterns drew their power—several Green Lanterns, including Arisia, lost their powers. However Arisia decided to remain on Earth with her boyfriend Hal Jordan. They moved to Chicago for a time, where she earned a job as a model. Their relationship became strained from adjusting to changes in the Corps and they eventually broke up. Following their break-up, Arisia moved to live in the Green Lantern Citadel with Kilowog. Eventually, the Citadel was destroyed, and Arisia again found herself not knowing what to do with her life, especially since her mind regressed to that of a 13-year-old even though her body still looked adult. A few years later, Arisia reunited with Hal and tried to convince him to resume their relationship and allow her to return to the Corps, but Hal rejected both, saying that he was interested in another woman and that she was still not ready to assume the responsibilities of a Green Lantern again.

Mio Naruse

connector13

Mio Naruse is the daughter of the previous Demon Lord, Wilbert and a human named Ashe thus making her a humanoid demon, as well as the niece of Sapphire. After the "death" of her father, Mio inherited his power and was raised in the Human World as the daughter of two unnamed demons as a human. Though after the death of her adoptive parents, she was later saved by Maria who revealed the truth about her lineage. Both later came up with the ruse where their "mother" would be marrying Jin Toujou and become the stepsisters of Basara Toujou in an attempt to make their house their base, while father and son would have their memories altered and move elsewhere. However, this plan failed after both of them were revealed to be banished members of the Hero Clan, but Mio and Maria continue to live in the Toujou Household. Mio is shown to be a calm and quiet person, especially around those she isn't close to, but she's rather talkative around her closest friends such as Chika and Shiho. It is noted that she can be rather quick to anger based on the situation, mostly if someone close to her is threatened, insulted or harmed, first shown when she slapped Takashi who didn't understand it was Basara who was suffering more than anyone after the incident from six years prior. Mio can also become enraged if she believes someone important to her has been killed to the point of wanting to eliminate the person responsible herself. Despite being referred to as a dangerous threat by the Hero Clan, Mio is rather caring, honest and compassionate. She hates lying for the most part to those who have helped her, as shown when she and Maria lied to Basara and Jin about their marriage to use their home as a base, even choosing to erase their memories so they wouldn't get involved in their problems anymore. Although Mio attempts to act brave and calm all the most, deep down she is afraid about her current situation since she has lived most of her life as a normal high school girl.

Yuki Nonaka is a member of the Hero Clan in Japan, a childhood friend of Basara Toujou as well as the older sister of Kurumi Nonaka, making her the first child of Kaoru and Shuuya Nonaka. She is the initial observer watching over Mio Naruse as such she attends the same school, as well as being the class representative of her class, where Mio and Basara are. She later becomes one of Basara's lovers. Yuki is usually calm and gives off a very relaxed air, and is proper of her actions. However, she displays a different side whenever she's around Basara, like being intimate and displaying loneliness. Being a member of the Hero Clan who is sent by "the village" to watch over Mio, she is dedicated with her role, even going as far as telling Basara that she won't show mercy on killing the future Demon Lord if she makes her surroundings dangerous, even if Basara would come to hate her. First time learning of Mio's relationship with Basara, Yuki considered her to be a hindrance to his peace. But later on, she and Mio become close friends and also rivals in love albeit the rivalry became even more intense after she started to live with Basara. Yuki often gets jealous of when Mio (or other members of the harem) get to do things with Basara that she didn't and wants to do, and normally she takes the initiative of doing them herself or having Basara make up for it later. Because Yuki wasn't born talented, she values repetition and working hard when it comes to training as well as schoolwork. She's the type of person that believes anyone can reach her level as long as they are willing to put the work in to reach it.

Aresia

connector1

Aresia was a rogue Amazon who was determined to purge every male from the planet. She also is the adoptive sister of Diana. When she was a young girl, Aresia's country (possible to be Kaznia) was ravaged by war. In order to escape the chaos, the girl and her mother fled aboard a cargo ship. During the ship's journey, pirates attacked the vessel, raided the ship for all the goods and supplies that were aboard, before opening fire on the ship and destroying it. Aresia was the only other person who survived the attack apart from the ship's captain, a man. She was barely conscious and held on to a shard of the wooden ship. The ship's captain took Aresia and swam her to safety on the shores of Themyscira. This valiant effort came at the cost of his own life; he suffered a fatal heart attack as a result of the strain put on his heart. Hippolyta found Aresia and the captain on the beach. She buried the noble captain, the only man ever buried on Themyscira, but kept his existence a secret because she didn't think the captain was important enough to be mentioned. After these events, Aresia was adopted by the Amazon Queen who raised her to adulthood along with Diana. While on the island, she was magically endowed with Amazon strength and was taught in Amazon fighting techniques. However, Aresia learnt misandrist philosophies from Hippolyta; especially taking to the idea of men not being necessary. As part of Aresia's final training and tests to truly become an Amazon was to live by herself in complete solitude; presumably to reflect upon whether or not she truly wanted to become an Amazon and truly renounce any ties to the outside world. During that time, no Amazon was allowed to come check up on or talk with her. While in the tower, Aresia took this time to read books she had somehow acquired from the outside world about biology, chemistry and magic, which allowed her to form her plan to exterminate men from the world.

Mera is the crown princess of the underwater kingdom of Xebel, the Queen of Atlantis and the wife of the hero Aquaman. As a young adult, Mera was promised to be wed to the military chief Nereus by her father. Ryus believed that vengeance should be exacted on Atlantis, and so tasked Mera with finding and assassinating the King of Atlantis, after returning from her job she was to marry Nereus. Before she left, Mera was given a Shell of Sounds by her father, this device contained a message for Mera from her mother which she was to open after making it to the surface. With fury and hatred in her heart, Mera set out to find and execute the King of Atlantis. Upon reaching the surface she asked a group of sailors where she could find the King of Atlantis. The sailors showed Mera a newspaper article of the supposed King of Atlantis - Arthur Curry/Aquaman, whom Mera learnt was a hero instead of a tyrant. Eventually she found him rescuing wounded whales and was completely taken aback by his kindness. Impressed by her hydrokinesis powers, Arthur asked Mera to join him for lunch, which she agreed to. Arthur asked her what the shell around her neck meant, making her realize she hadn't listened to her mother's message yet. In the message, her mother told Mera that she should make her own path in life instead of following the demands of her kingdom. Taking this advice to heart, Mera gave up on killing Aquaman and instead fell in love with the hero. Some time afterwards, Arthur asked Mera to be the face of the political campaign between Atlantis and the Surface World, which she accepted. Mera decided to fully embrace her new role as she donned the same Atlantean Chainmail as Arthur and began calling herself "Aquawoman",but this moniker was short lived. While Wally West, the original Kid Flash, was escaping the Speed Force in what could be described as his "rebirth", Mera was brought to Paradise Island where Arthur proposed to her and the two became engaged.

Maria Naruse

connector3

Maria Naruse is a succubus and Mio Naruse's Guardian after the death of her adoptive parents. She is the daughter of Sheila and the half-younger sister of Lucia. It is later revealed that Maria is also the daughter of Wilbert, thus making her the niece of Sapphire, the younger half-sister of Mio, and the cousin of Basara Toujou. Maria is rather childish and likes teasing people no matter how serious the situation. She prides herself on trying to make light of most situations to counter the seriousness of Basara and the rest of the harem. She's often referred to as being the "problematic" member of the family due to how brutally honest she is about her feelings and desires. Being a succubus, Maria naturally feeds off of the lewd situations. In the first half of the series, she's primarily scheming and watching Basara engage in lewd acts with the rest of the harem in order to deepen their bonds. However, in the second half of the series, she becomes an active participant in the lewd situations, and even discovers that she's a bit of a prude and a masochist when it comes to others watching her engage in lewd acts with Basara. Outside of being a prankster and tease, Maria has a vulnerable side. As a child, she was repeatedly told that her mother's appearance was her fault. Maria then internalized that and spent the majority of the series blaming herself for her mother's condition. She also has moments, quite a few moments, where she's brought to tears and questions her worth and role in Toujou Residence. According to Sheila, although Maria is an experienced succubus, she's inexperienced when it comes to being a girl. She's in love with Basara, as with the other members of the harem. However, unlike the other girls, Maria often pushes her feelings down, and rationalizes them by saying "She's supporting Basara deepening his bonds with the other girls". She has some moments, though where she puts her feelings first and rewards herself with quality time with Basara.

Kurumi Nonaka is a member of the Hero Clan in Japan and the younger sister of Yuki, making her the youngest child of Shuuya and Kaoru Nonaka. She is an elemental master with a strong connection with spirits. At first, she appeared as one of the three sent to eliminate Mio, upon joining the Toujou Household, she becomes one of Basara's girlfriends. Kurumi is first shown to be very protective of her older sister and is also dutiful to her position as a hero. She also held no sympathy for Basara after the incident from five years ago, even calling him a traitor due to a mixture of the grief that it caused her sister, protecting the daughter of the Demon Lord, despite her being initially being close to him thinking of Basara as an older brother. She didn't hesitate to attack Basara in their battle against one another, then even showed to be insulted after he didn't take her seriously as he used to blunt end of Brynhildr to attack her. However, after Basara saved her from falling and hearing his suffering as he slept upon being knocked out by Yuki, she realized that he was suffering most after the incident out of the three of them. Kurumi started referring to him as "Basara-oniichan" as she had done in the past. She quickly developed a close bond with those in the Toujou Residence, but Kurumi is described as having a certain innocence, which riles up the succubus instinct in Maria into the depths of depravity becoming both a sexual plaything for her yet close friend. This close proximity, however, it also forces her to confront her long-standing feeling for Basara, which at first caused her to shyly use her spirits to simulate a muted dream for her a couple of months in a row. Kurumi later starts to become jealous about the fact that Mio, Yuki, and later Zest were able to make a Master-Servant Pact with Basara. Then the actions of the Succubi Lucia and Shella forcibly brings these feelings to the surface by cursing her and making Basara subdue her, repeatedly.

Zest B. Steward is a Demon that was created by and served Zolgear as his maid, she was sent by the Demon Lord Faction to serve as a scout alongside Lars. After the defeat of Zolgear, she temporarily served Sheila, the mother of Lucia and Maria having lost her original purpose and complied with the demands of the Moderate Faction. She ultimately serves Basara as she is tied to him in the Master-Servant Contract in a manner similar to Mio and Yuki but instead uses Sheila's nature. Zest is known to be fiercely loyal to her master. Cold and calculating, she never goes against her master's wishes. She, however, does not practice blind obedience and would advise her master should she feel that her master's decisions would result in undesirable consequences. This trait was exemplified when she advised Zolgear to refrain from raping Mio Naruse before her powers are completely extracted, as this will result in the loss of her powers which was essential if Zolgear were to overthrow the current Demon Lord Leohart. Her previous life makes her quite naive in morals, save for the servitude she was taught by Zolgear. This also quite often puts her in the crosshairs of Maria's succubus antics. Cold as she is, it doesn't mean that she doesn't have the capacity to have and feel emotions. This was first implied when she scouted the Toujou Residence during Basara's subjugation of Mio and Yuki Nonaka, wondering if Zolgear would love her as Basara would to his servants, or what if Basara were her master instead, although she asserted that she felt "no jealousy whatsoever". Her emotions became even clearer as she served Sheila, and later, Basara. It appears that she has a complex and constantly wonders whether she is useful enough to her master. She is also revealed to have a humble and meek personality when she is not fighting her master's enemies and is the only one amongst those bounded by the Master-Servant Contract to address Basara with the suffix "-sama".

In episode 6, one of her first comments upon suggesting that Shinichi gets a new maid to help Myucel if she teaches at school is to sarcastically ask if he wants "another large-breasted maid". Whenever Shinichi makes any sort of request from her, her first reaction is to assume he has sexual motives for doing so, such as favoring Myucel to impregnate her, or wanting to save Elbia to have a big-breasted animal girl as a mistress. The twist, however, is that she only looks like a child and is really a teenager. Because of the circumstances of her coronation as Empress, Petralka is determined to prove that she's a wise, just and competent ruler. Coupé is an merciless assassin through and through. She takes all jobs professionally, even if they seem menial to her, such as retrieving a child's balloon. She takes pride in her abilities, describing herself as "swift as the night, sharp as my knife." She also has no qualms about murdering others "as they see fit," despite that being a HR violation. Although her ambitions may be dubious as she claims she works with the SDN since they pay her on time, as opposed as a chance to better herself, after being kept over Sonar, she seemingly commits herself to her job on a more personal level. Despite this cool-headed and cold personality, she also gets angry. If cut from the team, she takes the termination to heart and attacks Robert before leaving, and this personal vendetta carries on as a member of Shroud's entourage when she attacks the Z-Team, often requesting Sonar and Blonde Blazer, and fuming about her termination when fighting Mecha Man and Blonde Blazer. However, she has other less-threatening sides to her. When off duty, she exhibits a more laid-back, albeit still poignant, manner of talking, although that goes out the window when she reaches her threshold of alcohol. When present to Robert's housewarming party, she is able to let herself go and dance with other member. She can show other emotions such as a fear when stating she needs the job after Robert's speech after a very chaotic dispatch during episode 3, and concern when the Mecha Man mecha suit is on the verge of exploding. She understands humor, laughing at Robert's dry rebuttal to Flambae at Crypto, and she can call others names in a mocking tone, such as Blonde Blazer when rescuing an apprehended Robert.
