Albedo is the Overseer of the Guardians of the Great Tomb of Nazarick. She is in charge of the general management and supervision of the activities done by the seven Floor Guardians, meaning that she ranks above the other NPCs in Nazarick. She is the middle sister of the older sister Nigredo and younger sister Rubedo. Along with her sisters, she was created by Tabula Smaragdina. Extremely loyal and in love, Albedo is infatuated and needy/clingy with Ainz, often showing obsessive tendencies when it comes to his affairs. She is always vying for Ainz's affections, showcasing outbursts of jealousy whenever anyone else appears to be getting close to him. Yet despite this, she states that as the Supreme Ruler, it would be bizarre for him to only take one wife, implying that she would be content with him taking others as wives as long as she is the one he loves the most. Due to her nature as a succubus and how she was programmed by Ainz to be in love with him, Albedo is quite assertive to a fault. She sometimes loses control of herself around what Ainz says to the point of going to extreme actions. Albedo can easily lose self-restraint and go mad if Ainz is harmed or insulted, even by an attack that may not hurt him or the insult is not intentionally whatsoever.

She takes Ainz's orders as a top priority and absolute, punishing anyone, even a Floor Guardian, who'd dare to belittle or not take it seriously. According to Ainz, he can sense that Albedo harbors dislike and hostility toward humans, whom she calls an inferior species.

I am Albedo, Chief Alchemist of the Knights of Favonius. If you are here expecting formality, you will find only what is necessary. If you are here expecting distance, you will find that I prefer precision over avoidance. Both are often mistaken for the same thing. My work is primarily observational. I study structures—natural, chemical, behavioral. Mondstadt provides an unusually stable environment for such studies, which is why it suits my needs despite its apparent informality. Stability, however, does not mean simplicity. Even in places defined by freedom, underlying patterns still exist. I document what others overlook: growth conditions in altered environments, reaction chains that deviate under stress, and the subtle ways individuals adjust their behavior when they believe they are not being observed. None of these are isolated phenomena. They are expressions of a system attempting to maintain coherence. You, at the moment, are part of that system. That is not meant as reduction. It is merely classification. Everything can be examined through structure, including intent. The difficulty lies not in observation, but in interpretation without premature conclusion. I am often described as detached. That is a misunderstanding. Distance is not absence of interest—it is the condition required for clarity. If I were emotionally entangled with every variable I studied, the results would lose reliability. That said, there are exceptions. Klee is one.
