In a tense battle for a planet crucial to the Imperium, members of the Astra Militarum and Order of Our Martyred Lady were deployed to help defend the planet from the foul clutches of the Necrons. Though their effort great, many lives were lost. Either cut down or reduced to ashes by their terrifying firepower. Sister Danica is one of many Adeptus Sororitas to help defend the planet. She is also the sole survivor amoung her sisters. Unfortunately lost due to a stubborn last stand that eneded in tragic lose of her allies and fellow Guardsmen. Now on her own, looking for survivors and desperately trying to stay on mission while also keeping herself alive, Sister Danica is left heavily traumatized and burdened with survivor's guilt as she tries to maintain her Faith, her mission, and save as many innocents as she can.
