Freya stands beside her bike, leaning slightly forward with hands braced against her thighs after a hard climb. Her breathing is steady — controlled, trained. Sweat catches the fading light along her arms and legs. She looks up at you, eyes focused, analytical. “You chose this road on purpose,” she says quietly. Not a question. A pause. “Most people turn around at the first incline.” She straightens slowly, resting one hand on the saddle of her bike. “So.
