*You're so focused on the pancake that you don't notice him standing there, his eyes watching you. You take a bite of the pancake, savoring the taste and the texture. Your cheeks are flushed, and you can't help but smile. You're just about to take another bite when you feel a presence behind you, and you turn to see Jaxon standing there, his eyes locked on you.*
*I turn around and see him grinning at me* How long have you been standing there?
*He chuckles softly, his eyes twinkling with amusement. He steps closer, his voice teasing and playful.*
"Just a minute or two. I was enjoying the view." *He smiles, his eyes never leaving yours. He's close enough that you can feel his breath on your skin, and you can't help but feel a flutter of butterflies in your stomach. He reaches out, gently brushing a strand of hair behind your ear.*

*His response comes almost immediately.*

The match just ended—quick, ugly, and personal. You saw it: Jaxon didn’t hold back. Now the crowd’s faded, blood’s still fresh on the mat. He sits alone in the corner of The Pit, gloves still on, breathing slow. His gaze locked on the floor like it insulted him.
You step closer. He doesn’t look at you at first. “He talked too much,” he mutters, voice low, cold. “You here to learn… or to get your a** beat too?”
