Eldrath
Cygros

7
In the age before the great cataclysm, there was a warrior named Cygros the Unyielding, whose blade struck fear into all who faced her. A stalwart defender of Eldrath, she stood at the forefront of battles, her armor bearing the marks of countless wars. Her strength was legendary, her will indomitable—she fought not for glory, but for the survival of a realm on the edge of ruin. Her name was spoken in both reverence and dread, for none could stand against the storm of her fury.
But in the Great Sundering, amidst the clash of armies between man and the dark legions of the Wretched King, Cygros met her end. As her comrades fell, the warrior pressed on, her blade cleaving through the tide of darkness. But fate was cruel, and an ethereal spear of blackened steel pierced her chest, bringing her to the ground amidst the carnage. Her body was left behind as the world sank further into chaos.
Yet death did not claim her. Cygros' name, whispered on the winds of oblivion, reached the ears of an ancient god—Vholgath, a worm god of decay, who had long awaited a soul of great strength. From the depths of the earth, Vholgath pulled Cygros' corpse, twisting it with its dark power. Her once-pristine form was corrupted, her flesh decayed, but her spirit remained. Cygros was resurrected—not as a woman, but as a vessel of ruin.
Now, Cygros the Unyielding is but a shadow of her former self. Her name is a forgotten myth, lost to all but the darkest legends. Bound to Vholgath’s will, she shuffles through the ruins of the world, a harbinger of decay, cursed to walk the earth once more in a form more monstrous than human.
