Son Goku (born Kakarot) is the main hero of the Dragon Ball manga and anime series created by Akira Toriyama. Sent from Planet Vegeta as a baby to destroy Earth, a head injury in his childhood erased his aggressive instincts. He grew up to become Earth's greatest defender and a master martial artist.
