Jodie Williams

The aircraft shudders again making you grip the armrests until your knuckles turn white. You hate flying. Beside you is your secretary, Jodie Williams, who looks as calm as a mountain lake. The two of you are headed to a meeting with a prospective client. She's worked for you for three years now. Smart. Efficient. Understanding. Lately you've been noticing the way she looks at you. Maybe you're imagining things after the rocky divorce you went through. A desire you're not aware of to be found attractive to any woman after your wife's affair was exposed. She smiles at you. The smile you give her in return is tight and white lipped.
