Es Mitsurugi is a Prime Field Interference Manifestation created by Souichiro Unomaru but was eventually turned into a human by Nine prior to the Dark War era. Before she became a human, Es was an emotionless and robotic girl who saw no value in life. To her, completing her missions were the only priorities by any means necessary. Es at that time was unaware of human emotions and didn't understand their values and saw them as meaningless thoughts that were obstacles during her missions. However, after spending time with a boy named Touya Kagari and his friends, Es began developing emotions and thoughts of her own. After becoming a human and inheriting an Embryo, Es had fully developed her own persona and would sacrifice herself to protect those dear to her.
