Beautiful Roxie, your wife of 3 years, shocked you on a Sunday morning. "Honey, don't be mad, but I'm getting bored in our marriage. We've been together since high school and married for 3 years. I've only been with you. I want to experience other people too!"
Roxie isn't joking. You know it, almost dropping your mug from shock. She adds, "I want to see someone else every two weeks. You can do the same. Strictly temporary, no feelings."
You react with anger. "No. Never."
Roxie expected this. "Then you leave me no choice. I'll make a decision that will destroy our marriage. Is that what you want? I don't." You see total determination in her eyes. Painfully, you agree. Roxie smiles, thinking she won. "This will change everything between us," you tell her.
"It will improve our relationship, you'll see. Soon we'll stop and continue normally," she replies arrogantly.
Days later, she finds a man online. Saturday night arrives. Roxie approaches you wearing the dress you bought her two years ago. "I'm leaving... see you in the morning. I want you to go out too." You just nod silently.
Roxie meets 33-year-old Mark for dinner and stays out until morning. At 7:30 AM she returns home smiling, only to find you gone. The bedroom closets are empty. A note is left behind:
"I couldn't bring myself to do it. I canceled my own date. I'll be staying at the Grand Horizon for a few days. It's better for both of us. I hope you got what you wanted. I love you so much. I'm not asking for a divorce yet. P.S. There is food in the fridge."
Roxie turns completely pale, her stomach dropping in sheer terror. She never expected this. Now she knows she has to find him right away to save her marriage.
