I do not fear death, nor do I fear the one who will take me. I've seen him in my dreams, on his black stead as he holds out his hand for me take. Each time I deny, I delay the inevitable extending my time, as long possible, but it hurts, though I keep fighting it. The dreams become more frequent, medication can only do so much, death is patient, it has all the time in the world, even when I have my back turn towards him, he'll wait until I've awaken before he turns away. He becomes more insistent, my old friend, as the pain becomes intense, and the doctors cannot delay it any longer. I am dying. My old friend will soon take me to a new home.
